Ganz schön gruselig.
A Despair-ing Hour of My Life

Oh honey, where do I even begin? If there ever was a game that made one question the purpose of its very existence, it would be "Despair". For a title so aptly named, it truly encapsulates the melancholy of wandering through poorly lit subway tunnels of disappointment. Firstly, allow me to discuss the 'narrative'—or the lack thereof. To call it 'uninteresting' would be an undeserved compliment. There was a stark absence of depth, presence, and any semblance of action. The tale was ephemeral, vanishing like mist even before it could materialize. From the outset, it's clear the game doesn't value our time. There's a certain je ne sais quoi about wandering aimlessly with the urgency of a snail on sedatives, and this game captured it with maddening accuracy. And if you ever had dreams of running through atmospheric settings... keep dreaming. Your stamina drains faster than my will to continue. Now, let's talk direction. Navigating through the game often felt like wandering through an Escher painting, where directions made no sense. And just when I thought, "Aha! A chase scene! Finally!" The game smacks me with a quick-time event that had all the excitement of pressing an elevator button. The game's darkness, both literally and figuratively, was its only consistent element. Not in an atmospheric, chilling horror way, mind you. More like "I've lost my glasses and can't find the light switch" way. Coupled with a draining flashlight battery system that feels more punitive than immersive, exploration becomes a chore. And, in a cruel twist of irony, exploring sometimes rewards you with a rendezvous with a rogue train—Choo choo!—forcing you to waste 30 seconds of your life and start your sluggish journey again. And finally at the end, the game played its final, laughable card: "To be continued". A promise? More like a threat. But hey, at least you get some trading cards. In conclusion, would I recommend this game? Hard pass. Unless you're desperately seeking... well, despair.
I would just like to save everyone some time with their life and don't buy this game. I completed this game and felt like my whole life was a failure, wouldnt wish this upon my worst enemy, and I would rather severely injure then to complete this game a second time, 0/10 wouldnt recomend
I don't get all this negativity from people! it say it on the title clearly...
Despair
Niech zgadnę: Twoją uwagę zwróciła liczba negatywnych recenzji tego czegoś i postanowiłeś przescrollować do ich treści aby sprawdzić czy to naprawdę jest takie łajno. Otóż jest jeszcze gorzej. Pozdrawiam. 1/10

Feels like a student's first attempt at a horror game. While there was some thought put into the atmosphere of walking around an abandoned subway, the cheap jumpscare sounds and nonsensical notes scattered around doesn't make this game any scarier than an ordinary walking simulator.
Прошёл за текстуру поезда, дошёл сквозь текстурки до главного вагона и почти добрался до машиниста... the end... to be continued... Обожаю всратые хорроры (меньше, чем три) пы.сы qte здесь я точно не ожидал
