It's focused on combat and character building, i'm enjoying the loop. Was not a big fan of how it looks but there is a fun game behind this (debatable) generic graphics so i gave it a chance and i'm not regretting.
If you can stand the flash game art-style, the combat has a good amount of depth and the end-game challenges feel appropriately hard. The game is somewhat short though.
There is a LOT going on in this game. * massive world to explore with random events and sites to explore on the world map * dungeons/caves with random events and battles giving me massive nostalgia for old board games like Warhammer Quest or MUD rpgs * turn-based battle system * party dynamics and mood system * a detailed character progression system * weapon/armour crafting and equipment boosting This is a great game, would recommend!
The video game version of a bag of chips. I was deeply involved in a couple other games in my downtime when I tried this, never put it down. The more skills you pick up the more every encounter turns into a high octane game of chess that you can't walk away from. The ones you run from early on become the most intense ones later, and the easy ones play out quick with a choreographed set of moves and skills. If a character's set of skills and equipment doesn't pan out it's fairly painless to wipe clean, redistribute already earned points and try a new set of skills/equipment. Shopping for skills and equipment is half the fun, the towns and game world grow and develop over time. The best equipment so far is 'legendary' loot occasionally found at end of ruins.
Amazing little gem of a game! Excellent work, by a Brazillian single developer!! (I am a proud fellow Brazillian!) It reminds me of the old days of Mount & Blade, exploring the world and being amazed my procedurally generated events. But this time it's in a procedurally generated world! With towns nations and factions that actually trade and sometimes go to war! Also the relationship between party characters is very fun to play and watch develop. It's very easy to see that a lot of love was poured unto this one, contratulations!! I will see if I can contribute to build some Workshop mods too, very thrilled to see the Citizenship part of the game in action, maybe allow the player to found and manage a town? Who knows!
Short version for those who enjoyed Enless RPG: This second game in the series is an upgraded version, it is better. Solid and fun multi-layered sandbox. The open world is fun to see evolve: Towns and Factions grow or get wiped, new threats arise... Serviceable fantasy combat with no zone of control and different skill trees for weapon and magic types. The large cast of foes provides different threats and one tactic might not work for all foes (which is good). Character evolution is pretty open and a bit of investment in the Intelligence attribute provides enough skill slots to create powerful synergies. Party relationships while a bit repetitive, offer one more layer to characters. Dungeon events and quests suffer from lack of variety in both execution and narrative content but they work well mechanically. Overall, this is a fun and colourful open world worth a playthrough.
Open evolving world; combat that starts simple and stacks complexity as you progress; character customisation and fun dungeon crawls.
if i didn't know any better, I feel like you really like the word "mate" when it comes to the party talking to one another - it feels way too frequent. Additionally, why is it that I can right click to use items from my inventory but the same can't be said when I want to equip any piece of gear? Also I don't know how many random events there are in caves, or in general, but I ran into the golem event, not once, nor twice, but three times in a row, so i'm either really lucky or the pool of events are quite small. Aside all of that minor stuff, it's a pretty good game and really scratches an itch of mine
Fantastic game, you can feel the love that the creator put into this. It's basically a sandbox tactical turn-based RPG without any class restrictions. It's focused on character development and battles. Really enjoy playing this will say though that what is currently missing is some more late game content. Regardless of this, will definitely recommend this for anybody who (like me) loves tactical RPGs but doesn't love having to do campaigns (such as in Xcom2) or follow a linear story (such as like 90% of all tactical RPGs).
Fun little rpg grinder. It doesn't have a story, but it also doesn't pretend to have one, which I respect,
