Game is fun but achievements are broken. I finished the game 100% long ago but not all achievements unlocked for unknown reason (even though conditions were met). I keep checking every year but creators do not care and never fixed it. I do not recommend. Never give positive note to anyone who abandons a broken game.
Depixtion is a color Picross game that spreads its color palette across 6 colors, deciphered through three separate picross puzzles that combine into one more complex image. Picross is a fantastic kind of puzzle with many versions of Steam, but Depixtion stands out thanks to its three-puzzle combos allowing for more complicated images and its large collection of puzzles. The base game has 100 puzzles, which seems small in comparison to other, cheaper games featuring double or triple that amount, but Depixtion gets its money's worth by making each puzzle significantly longer. First of all, the 100 puzzles are of course split up into three puzzles each, totaling 300 puzzles. Furthermore, unlike other Picross games with no shortage of stupidly easy 5x5 and 10x10 puzzles to beat before even unlocking the harder stuff, each taking maybe a minute to finish, Depixtion only has 18 easy (4x4/8x8) puzzles before digging right into the meat. There are 28 24x24 puzzles, the largest of the set. These harder puzzles, thanks to them being three puzzles in one, take much much longer but are far more satisfying. I've beaten every puzzle in this game, as well as every puzzle in the Halloween set, and I can say with certainty that this is the best Picross game on Steam. My only gripe is that there isn't more DLC. Please let me give you money

WAAAAAAY too easy, I completed 10 puzzles in just under 10 mins. There's just simply no challenge here. Having 3 mini layers of different colours doesn't add anything to the gameplay it just makes each individual picross puzzle smaller and easier. Ultimately when I try to solve & complete a puzzle I want to feel that satisfaction of EUREKA I SOLVED IT and I just don't feel it here because I simply never had to scratch my brain to figure out what box to or not to fill in. Not for me, but maybe a good game for parents to play with their kids to teach them basic logic. Depixtion, unfortunately in an attempt to become more advanced.. failed, and became far too simple. 2/10
If you like pic-cross type games and don't mind them getting more challenging as you move forward than this is the game for you. My analogy would be sudoku. Some people like playing ones that they can do in their heads, some people like having to one by one eliminate numbers for the challenge. Some of these puzzles get that way where you have to do some process of elimination guesswork on a few. I like challenges, so that doesn't bother me, but this is definitely not your laid back easy pic-cross. The grids are also 4 X 4 so if your brain is wired to 5 X 5 grids you will have an adjustment period getting used to it. Each puzzle has three sub puzzles in a singular primary color. When finished the game will stack the three to show you the finished result. There are a few timed achievements thrown in with the mostly completion driven ones; and for those that care, the achievements (at the time of this review) do not show up on your profile (it is a profile features limited game)((however the h**l that works)). It does (at time of review) have one dlc as well. I do recommend this game to all that want a challenge. Cheers!
It's Picross. Do you like Picross? You'll like this. The unique spin for this game is that each picture is made of three layers of two shades of color (Red, Yellow, and Blue) that you complete separately, once you've correctly filled in both shades for each layer they'll be composited together to form the picture. Overall good, won't convert new people to Picross but very solid for existing players
A well-designed, easy to understand and logical puzzle game
Nice concept. But 4x4 square is blasphemous.
I love nonograms and this game is a great collection. The interface is easy to use and you can really get into a groove. One complaint is the "rotation menu" to choose a puzzle. There are a 100 and once you've done the first 50, you really have to scroll to get to the levels you've not yet done. Overall, I definitely recommend and I wish there were more packs.
