About

Democracy 3 is the work of a single developer, Cliff Harris from the UK, an indie games veteran who has been making games since 1997 and programming since he was 11 years old. Cliff gets some 'help' from his cats, but frankly not much...Sums Steam only; GOG publishes no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

Easy to learn and incredibly addictive. When I open this game, I plan to be sucked in for a few hours. YOU CAN MAKE CANADA TURN FROM A PROGRESSIVE PEACEFUL COUNTRY TO A CAPITALISTIC POLLUTION BEAST. What is not to like?
Le falta algo a este juego. A primera vista la premisa del juego es buena pero luego ves que es difícil saber hasta que punto las políticas son realmente efectivas y cuánto afectan realmente a las lecciones. Acaba haciéndose un poco aburrido.

Great game. Really fun.
Some aspects feel a bit too unrealistic but you also have to work within the limitations of a game and simulation (*cough* reigning in rampant capitalism without tanking the economy), but other than that its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome! :D
exelente juego
Bought this game ages ago and finally got around to playing it. It's a neat concept, but it's just not very fun to play. I only made it through a couple of hours before I started just clicking through the turns. For a single play through I was really disappointed in how repetitive the game became. I think my biggest complaint was that there wasn't a good way of tracking changes between quarters. Some policy changes might take 2 years to see the full affect, so it's easy to waste action points on a problem you addressed in a previous quarter. Overall, i liked the concept, but I can't recommend the game. If economic management is just really your cup of tea, then I'd at least recommend waiting for a sale.
good like
The game is fundamentally broken when it comes to assassination mechanics. You can apparently be assassinated despite having zero taxes, a booming economy, mass surveillance, strict gun control, virtually no crime, and extremely generous benefits for every social group. I even tested this using cheats, pumping the economy into the trillions, removing every tax and giving massive benefits to essentially everyone. Despite creating what should be an absurdly prosperous and stable country, I was still assassinated during my first term in Australia, a country with a comparatively low history of political violence. At that point, it stops feeling like a political simulation and starts feeling like the game is simply rolling a dice and ignoring everything you've actually done. The assassination system is completely broken and undermines the entire point of the game. It's a mess.
