This game is more like Raiden sequel than XII Zeal sequel. It was rebranded into Zeal series simply because it was made by the same company. So, if you like Raiden, you may like this game. Can save replay. Have online leaderboard. Can view replays from online leaderboard. I saw two replays that seems to not be a valid replay, but their scores are close to the valid top score. Either hacked or desync'ed. The game starts with 3 credits and it will increase the more you play. It seems the maximum is 9 credits. The original arcade name is called G-Stream G2020 in case if you want to emulate it.
Muy buen Shmup/STG. Entretenido.
I love it!
One of the best shmups on Steam!
There’s so much to commend about this one—the gorgeous pixel art, the catchy soundtrack, the varied routes both between stages and within them. The stage 6 background might be one of my favorites in any shmup—a dense cityscape turning to night as you battle a massive enemy battleship. Unfortunately the bullet visibility issue is such a fundamental problem that it makes recommending this one impossible for me. They simply blend in with everything—the backgrounds, the medals, your own shots, the explosions effects, the debris that flies off destroyed enemies. They are also quick and have a tendency to flash, which makes tracking them more difficult than it needs to be. You won’t notice this in the screenshots, where they look solid and easily readable, but in game they’ll come at you so covertly and so fast that panic bombing isn’t even really an option much of the time. Triangle Service’s later shmups Trizeal and Exzeal do a good job of fixing this issue, but sadly that doesn’t help this one.
a cool retro-style shooting game, must play
Fun shooter that is ruined by one fatal flaw. As other reviewers have mentioned, certain enemy bullets are nearly impossible to spot. Whose genius idea was it to make the enemy bullets blend into the background? This often results in sudden deaths that are nearly unavoidable unless you have eagle eyes. Ultimately, Deltazeal is a fun shooter that will take a huge dump on you with it's, all too common, cheap shots.
Awful presentation and menu system. Unplayable in full screen mode. So pathetically bad that, if it were free, it wouldn't even be worth the energy you would spend to click the button to add it to your account.
Tried to play it this evening and it just won't start, just get a blank screen. It used to work, but doesn't any more...
