Oh Man, I've been putting off playing this game for so long, quietly excited to give it a go because I'm a massive space nerd, and everyone seemed to love this thing. Starting with the positive, it looks great and the lunar exploration segments are entertaining. That's where the good stuff ends, the story nearly put me to sleep and feels super contrived, characters receive the absolute minimum in terms of backstory and the dialogue is badly written, the main character has an interesting connection to the story, which would be cool to explore, but they never do. It controls terribly, I remember thinking 'is this an unreal engine slop game?' only to discover at the end credits that yes, yes it was. The soundtrack sounds so much like Hans Zimmer's score from Interstellar that it nearly feels like copyright infringement and ultimately makes me wish I was watching that, rather than playing this. Not to mention the space suits feel more than a little 'inspired' by the suits worn in interstellar, particularly the helmet. Bare bones puzzle game, I only really played to completion because I was a space nerd with nothing else to do. Just avoid it.

Masterpiece.
This isn't a terrible game, it's just not particularly good. It's a frequently tedious, sometimes buggy walking simulator with an OK plot. It doesn't have a consistent design language, so the most common activity is "figure out which one object in this room is interactable." It looks nice, but it runs like garbage, even on moderate settings with way-above-recommended hardware.

I really liked this game and I enjoyed the atmosphere. Unfortunately, for me, the more I played it the worse the performance in certain locations. The only reason I still recommend it is that thankfully it plays well on the steamdeck. Sadly I prefer to play visually captivating games on my PC so the experience was not great for about 20% of the time
