Deliver Us The Moon is a great little story-driven game that does a really good job creating tension without making the experience frustrating. The biggest thing I enjoyed was the atmosphere. The music, voice acting, space setting, and slower pace really made me feel like I was actually on a mission rather than just moving from puzzle to puzzle. The gameplay itself is pretty simple, with light puzzles, timed sequences, some exploration, and a few tense sections, but there’s enough variety that it never felt boring. There was one puzzle that slowed me down for a bit, especially with hostile units nearby, but that ended up being more of a small hiccup than a real problem. I finished it in 4.8 hours without using any guides or looking anything up, and the ending genuinely got an emotional reaction out of me. If you want a difficult puzzle game or something that really tests your skill, this probably isn’t it. But if you want a short, atmospheric space adventure with a good story and just enough interaction to keep you involved, I definitely recommend it. Thumbs up from me.
Unlike other space walking simulators, this game actually makes you play and solve puzzles instead of just watching a movie.
kinda feels unpolished, but it has some nice feelings and is fun. Recommended
Simple and short adventure game that doesn't quite hit the emotional highs it aims at, but looks good along the way.
6 out of 10 A pretty average game. The mechanics are walking and solving puzzles. The puzzles are simple and boring. The story is decent, but nothing brilliant. I can recommend it to fans of space settings, but don’t expect any revelations. Playable on Steam Deck.
The immersion isn't there for me unfortunately, first of all the beginning of the game is very slow with simple "puzzles", and it forces 3rd person for some reason even though there is first person perspective in interiors. The space environment is also very disappointing, they should have spent more time crafting the entry into space in the rocket launch in beginning of the game. Maybe the game gets better later on but I just dont know if it captivated my attention enough to keep going.
Would I recommend a game I finished in 5 hours? Well, I don't regret it, I think I paying a couple of bucks (got it on discount) goes a long way to supporting the devs. I love (space) exploration games and this looked like it was up my alley. It was, even though short and with simple puzzles. I think this would work best on VR, I played on PC. 10/10 for effort and looking forward to more stories of this kind.
The story was engaging.
