Its like as if cabibo were reading a bed time story to you as you are surrounded by the characters and their actions. Some of the story was a little unclear to me, such as the use of a daily feeding that was guaranteed to be delilas and why delila even wanted more than the daily alotment... but I dont think the answers to that question wouldve changed the ending and how these two individuals become allied. Thank you for the love
It is difficult to give a negative review to a work of someone whom I greatly admire, especially when he gives it for free - but I think honesty is more important. General idea for this demo is absolutely great - a very personal, story-driven VR half-interactive psychedelic illustration book. It seems like a very powerful tool to convey ideas and tell stories, but in order to work it needs one thing - it needs to be done with great attention to details. As it is, "Delia's gift" is more of a very rough sketch than a complete experience. The art seems more like a placeholder, sound quality is very poor, and many of the story's pages do not have any weight to them. I am not writing this to discourage you Cabbio, as I said - I absolutely admire your work, but as I said, I believe it needs much more polish to really work in I way I imagine you designed it for. The story could have much more impact if accompanied by a more fleshed out scenery. I mean, if the story is really that personal to you - take more time it and give it more LOVE:) 23+93!

Delila's Gift is a free VR story. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. Was a nice story, the visuals were different. A ten minute story. Try it you might like it.
Delila's Gift is an exquisite blend of age old storytelling manifested through today's tools. I felt lifted back into grade school days of learning to draw and write. The delightful naivety in the execution is a reminder that heart can flourish in the most simple of tales.
I really hate to give this a negative review, as it's clear it was a labor of love and someone poured their heart into making it. Unfortunately, the story itself is confusing, almost as if we only are given half the text. Additionally, I had a jarring moment when I waved my hand next to the orb without pressing the trigger and it went to the next page with the block stuck to my hand; that happened twice.
Delila'nın Hediyesi, Tilt Brush kullanılarak oluşturulmuş bir VR Resimli kitabıdır! Delila adındaki küçük bir deniz canlısının aidiyet, sahiplenme, korku, ötekileştirilme ve onu çevreleyen karanlığı anlama mücadelesinin öyküsünü anlatıyor.
I can confirm this experience works without only minor issues on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
The only minor issue is that the controllers appear as HTC Vive wands. But you can figure out what to do. It also says roomscale, but I played seated without any issues. Although, you should be seated on a swivel chair to look around 360. The experience is 12-15 minutes long, depending on how much you want to look at the details around you. But in all honesty, I did not enjoy the experience. It felt like a student project. I was at least expecting some interesting artwork to look at in VR, but it didn't even have that. The story is okay. The narrated voice did not bother me. But again, nothing captured my attention. After 5 minutes, I was just hoping the whole thing would end soon. And when I reached the end, I was like, yeah, I'm going to uninstall and not recommend this app to anyone. Sorry. Thanks for trying dev. I know you're not in it for the money. But I can't recommend something that I did not enjoy at all. Rating 3/10. Download if the store page screenshots or video interest you. But otherwise, just pass.
As a fan of Cabbibo's work this experience did not disappoint!
Delila's Gift is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, Delila's Gift is a software application that shows you an art book in VR. That's it. Look at some really mediocre art... imagine being so bad at art, that when all the local art galleries finally take out a restraining order, you have to pay $100 to publish your "art" on Steam through Steam Direct, even though you know it's not actually a game, but you're that desperate to try make someone see it. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting them or being shot, the computer rewards the player if they win, and then if the player survives, they repeat that loop. There's no loop here, no true interactive feedback. It simply is not a game, it cannot be "played". This has misleadingly been launched in the "Games" section of Steam instead of the "Software" section. This is a common mistake for developers who are new to Steam, or don't understand the difference between games and software which isn't a game. It seems this software published incorrectly as a game is simply lack of experience/knowledge of the correct process. Here's a link for the process to publish non-game software on Steam: Steam Developer Help With Software Publishing It's unfortunate this process was not known about/followed, resulting in a software application being published in the wrong place. Publishing things which aren't games on Steam in the Games section as games is misleading to gamers and somewhat harmful, because it pollutes the Steam marketplace and takes away visibility and market exposure for genuine game developers who do the right thing and make games for gamers. There are no gameplay loops in this software, no "gameplay", no meaningful game like interaction. It's a software application and as such has no merits as a video game for gamers. Because of this, I cannot recommend this non-game software as a game to gamers.
