Defense Warfare

[u]Aktualisierung 9.5.2018[/u] Datenverlust, leider hat das Spiel meinen Spielstand genullt und ich müsste mein Grinding wiederholen :( Defense Warfare ist ein hektischer Action-TD-Hybrid. Zwischen den Wellen baut und verbessert man seine Türme. Während der Welle steuert man einen Kampfhubschrauber, der aber von den meisten Feinden unter Beschuß genommen wird, deshalb muß man ständig in Bewegung bleiben. Zusammen mit Bombardierungen, Sonderattacken, Turmbuff und Heilung wird es hektisch. Das Spiel wurde mit der Unreal-Engine erstellt. Es gibt verschiedene Türme, einige davon müssen erst mit in Missionen verdienten Geld freigeschaltet werden. Man kann nur 3-5 Türme auf eine Map mitnehmen. Bis man erstmal die idealen Turmkombinationen herausgefunden hat, wird man grinden müssen. Die Türme werden nicht angegriffen und es gibt keine einstellbare Zielprioritäten. Auf einer Map gebaute Türme können gezielt verbessert werden: [list] [*]Schaden [*]Angriffsgeschwindigkeit [*]Reichweite [*]Kritwahrscheinlichkeit (Doppelschuß) [*]vergrößerter Flächenschaden (falls vorhanden) [*]Verlangsamung (falls möglich) [/list] Selbst im leichtesten von 5 Schwierigkeitsgraden muß man bei vielen Wellen mitkämpfen und der Hubschrauber muß in Bewegung bleiben, um nicht abgeschossen zu werden. Auf den höheren Graden sind die Türme nur Unterstützung. Auch der Schwierigkeitsgrad der Maps schwankt. [u]Fazit[/u] Für meinen Geschmack wird es auf vielen Maps zu hektisch mit dem gleichzeitgen Feuern, Ausweichen, Bombardierungen und Sonderfunktionen auslösen. Ich bin halt mehr ein Fan der klassischen TDs. Ein leicht nach oben gerichteter Daumen für diesen Action-Hybriden der Spass macht, auch wenn er nicht an die klassenbesten [i]Deathtrap[/i] oder [i]Sanctum[/i] herankommt. Played over 40 hours into this game. With all tiers completed at this time (think more will be added) It was a fun and challenging tower defense game with some cool perks. Really enjoyed the game and the price is right. Can only hope for new towers, levels, and more things to spend on (already have well over 10 grand and have all towers\traps.)

https://youtu.be/y1HmzYHs4x8 I'm giving this game an overall thumb up becuase of a decent price to content ratio. However there are some frustrations. First is the overall game balance. It really is quite wacky with some waves being a stroll in the park, but the very next wave will blow you away rapidly. Also this is very much a 'hero' driven game meaning you and your helicopter are the main killing machine. Towers are very much a secondary strategy. If your after pure TD then this is not the game for you. Also the rewards for wiping out the enemy can be quite meagre. There are also some inferface ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. The first is it is very easy to lose track of the crosshair. Simply making the crosshair red would be a massive benefit. Also there seems to be no health bar for your heli - your only warning is the screen getting fuzzy leading to undeeded deaths until you get used to it. And finally a simple 'ding' sound when your specail abilities are no longer on cooldown would be awesome for the more hectic levels. Visuals are average, but the performance was excellent and the controls smooth. Also the sound track is at least half decent and the maps and enemies are at least varied. So overall it's not a bad game for the money, but will probably appeal more to the dedicated TD fans thanks to the grind needed to unlock items and perks.

After playing over 7 hours I originally voted to not recommend this because of not getting past the first "death level". I left some feedback, went on to more games, then came back here to "try one more time". The dev must have responded, as it now has a "start round" button and also a slow/fast toggle, awesome! Now the death level is just too easy! Lol. More info: I have only unlocked 7 or so turrets so far, and so far they cover the standard TD turret types. Each one has 2-5 upgrade types with 3-5 upgrade levels. The upgrades all vary, on one if enough levels turret fires twice, splash damage, scatter reduction, etc. Had to nock it down from 4K to something reasonable like 1080p (From the FPS counters it confirms I have a slow CPU), but hey this is a TD game ;-). The levels vary as well, all in all a great game for the price! Looking forward to a great gaming season ;-)

Jus finished this Tower Defence game (on medium level), and I really enjoyied the experience. The difficulty level seems about right and I enjoyed a few "failures" while I was finding my feet. I am particularly enjoying the various tower upgrade paths and the options available in the 'perks" setup. The "Death Levels" are an interesting change . A winner at a reasonable price!! Notwithstanding, some indication as to what difficulty level you have completed the various stages would be handy so you don"t replay a level you have already beaten.

i cannot play this unless the zoom out is increased. everything is too close for me. the concept seems good for the game.
