About
Hello Miner, and congratulations on joining DEEP ROCK GALACTIC! It’s the beginning of a bright new career for you.
We’re preparing to send you and your colleagues down into the rich mines of Hoxxes IV. If you’re a hard worker, a good shot and a reliable team player, you should have respectable odds of survival.
Award-winning co-op gameplay puts 1-4 players together to explore labyrinthian procedurally-generated cave systems, extract valuable minerals, and fight for their lives against alien hordes.
Play as four unique classes:
SCOUT: The nimble wayfinder. Light the way with your flare gun, zip around with your grappling hook, and be the first to fall down a really deep hole.
GUNNER: The heavy weapons guy. Great at turning alive things into dead things, and keeping teammates safe behind his impenetrable bubble shield.
ENGINEER: The defensive support specialist. Sentry guns, land mines and 40mm grenades help you keep a secure perimeter.
DRILLER: The living bulldozer. Carve through terrain and shape the work site with your handheld drills, and solve problems using your flamethrower and C4 charges.
Each class brings their own strengths to the team. Use your toolkits in tandem and work together to bring your whole crew home safe.
Explore an endless labyrinth of procedurally-generated caves – no two missions are alike.
You’ll need to rely on your wits and your traversal tools to navigate through narrow, snaking passages and vast caverns alike. Dig into 11 distinct biomes, each with their own unique cave formations and colorful (sometimes deadly) flora and fauna.
And with 100% destructible environments, you can shape the terrain as you see fit. Dig tunnels, collapse stalagmites and close off choke points to make your job easier.
Your work in the mines will pit you against the many creatures of Hoxxes IV who don’t take kindly to your presence.
Keep your finger on the trigger, and learn to defend yourself against hordes of over 50 different enemy types, all of which are keen to bite, slash and acid-spit you to death. Some fly, some crawl, some snatch you from above and below. You’ll need to keep your wits about you, and make sure your teammates have your back.
Unlock thousands of cosmetics, weapons and player upgrades, making for hundreds of hours of gameplay as you work your way up the ranks and become a star employee.
Deep Rock Galactic features six full seasons of additional content on top of the base game, and it’s all free. No time-limited battlepasses, no FOMO shop rotations, no gated content. The only extras you can buy are a couple DLC armors.
The Deep Rock Galactic Corporation isn’t known for its benefits package. But at least there’s a bar on the Space Rig.
Enough talk – it’s time to get to work, and join millions of other motivated employees!

Even after this many hours and with the flow of new content having weakened a bit i still return for a couple missions every now and then, because the game is just plain good. great, even. The different classes work together to cover all of a team's needs quite handily. The scout has superior mobility for gathering resources and helping with certain hard to reach mission objectives, and of course he is also important as the main light source in the caves, but the average scout will most likely struggle with large swarms of enemies as his weapons are more equipped to handle a fewer quantity of high priority targets rather than a flood of cannon fodder. So he needs some adult supervision from a REAL man with a REAL portable swarm missile rack or the rough equivalent, which is the gunner. The gunner is conveniently also equipped with an OH ♥♥♥♥ button, that being the shield bubble projector that scares enemies away just enough for them to not want to be inside of it, while also blocking projectile attacks and quickly restoring shields for anyone inside. The gunner may be a veritable walking fortress in his own right, but he is one man with one set of eyes, luckily the humble engineer has his own eye that (mostly) never sleeps, his sentry turret, although most engineers carry a pair of them. They do provide a respectable amount of firepower, but another often overlooked advantage is the fact that they'll automatically start spraying whatever threat enters their monitoring area, and thanks to their distinct firing sound your teammates will know for sure that it's time to stop digging in their butts and start digging into the crowd of bugs that may want to take a bite out of their butts. Your engineer may even have a Weapon of Mass Destruction hidden under his cap if he didn't go through his entire ammunition stockpile in the first 5 minutes of the assignment. And the driller is also there. The driller has no thoughts in his head as his weapons require approximately zero finesse and they solve the problem of impending enemy swarms by making the entire cave generally inhospitable to non-humanoid lifeforms. One of his weapons is a septic tank with a nozzle. His hatred for arthropods is only matched by his hatred for the non-precious varieties of rock and stone (he's the driller he has drills and they drill). He may struggle with distant threats but that's where the scout shines thanks to his armaments having better than average precision. It's the perfect circle of camraderie. The enemy designs are honestly quite incredible as every non-fodder foe either has a very distinct look or makes a very distinct sound or even both at the same time, so dying or failing a mission only feels unfair in exceedingly rare cases, since at any given moment you have detailed information about what enemies are present and where, so with a solid plan even the largest waves can be weathered by experienced enough players. The playerbase can be a bit overbearing to some (larping! he's talking about larping!) but underneath that it's actually shockingly good. The number of times where I got kicked for seemingly no reason or where the host simply ragequit due to dying too many times etc. in all of my games was like in the single digits, maybe, MAYBE it ventured a bit into the double digit territory, but generally when I boot up the game I don't find myself considering whether I should go at it solo or try my luck in the public lobbies and hope I can properly finish at least one mission. I think people just like this game so much that they don't mind a bit of hardship occasionally. We shall dub this phenomenon "having fun". Perhaps more similarly good games are in order to help further our understanding of "having fun".

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
