Good! Unfortunately is unable to reach "great" due to a *noticeably* clumsy back third, but it feels generally good to play, and while individual level mechanics are not always especially unique interesting, they are swapped in and out with enough frequency to keep the game's momentum up. The game's excellent soundtrack helps to smooth over the remaining bumps.
It's an underrated yet one of the [many] best 2d platformers I've played. I geniuenly can't wait to see more of it in future 2026 updates, and in the meantime I'll probably be spending bits of my free time trying to actually get good at the time trials. Only criticism i can really say [which is rather tied to me being bad at games in general] is that the aerial dodge doesn't give you ending i frames, so whenever you end up in a situation where you're hugging an obstacle [like e.g. poison wall or moving sawblades], you basically have no way to escape without getting damaged, which happens by mistake more than enough times mostly because many parts of the levels [especially the
vanitas
stages] require you to do an aerial dash very close to aforementioned obstacles. Other than that, a personally solid 8/10
it's peak your honor pros: - smooth gameplay - CPU usage is non-existent - short but understandable and involved story - get to beat the hell out of chickens cons: - controller is necessary, keyboard controls are clunky - learning curve is a bit steep for people that don't play fast platformers still worth learning however!
One of the best 2d platformers I've played in a long time. I've dropped many games lately half way through, not this one. The fighting is better than most games out there as it's similar to super smash bros games so it's got a decent moveset. As for the game design, most leves are well thought of, it doesn't get too repetitive, it's just fun and linear with optional exploring and lots of secret collectiables. And the boss fights are really good!
The controls are garbage. Random accelerations mess with your timing, and when you to account for them they just don't happen and mess with your timing anyway.
Après, moi, ça me va.
Super cozy 2D platformer. with some beatemup elements. The game seems inspired by stuff like the adventure mode in Super Smash Bros. Melee, but more than anything the aesthetic, music, and gameplay somehow reminds me of those surprisingly high quality, early indie games that would pop up on XBLA or flash game websites. It ends up adding to the charm of the whole thing. I appreciate in particular how the levels are decently long and full of optional things to collect. It's also always moderately challenging, but never to the extent of most precision platformers nowadays or anything like that. I would love to see more 2d platformers from this dev in the future
Really cute platboxer!
A super cute 2D platformer with Super Smash Bros. movement and combat. Globule is adorable. The only complaint I have is that enemy variety is lacking. You have a character that's a ton of fun to control, but the game keeps throwing the same half-dozen enemies at you.
