Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Sep 9 → 0.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
This Deathsmiles port is more faithful to the original in terms of slowdowns and lag, and it even has the option to get the DLC to unlock bonus characters, making it definitely a superior version. And finally, Deathsmiles II is ported to PC! Although it's not as good as the first, it's still a very fun game! And the three versions of the game here are quite different from each other! The 3D visuals are okay, the OST is still good, and the bosses are still bizarre. The game is faster, the stages don't explore as many obstacles as in the first game, and it's clear that the focus was on the bosses. It's also a very easy game, perfect for newbies! And it has Satan Claws, the silly pun of them all! A good game and a way to support more CAVE ports for PC.

I have mainly just played Deathsmiles I as I found that more fun in general. Great hori-shmup with a super fun scoring system.

I love shmups. I am not great at bullet hell shmups but - DeathSmiles was the first CAVE game I ever bought way back in 2010 and I thoroughly enjoyed it. When it released on the Xbox 360 digitally, I bought DeathSmiles II and liked it just as much. What I love about DeathSmiles is that you can see your character's hitbox, making it easier to weave through the heavy bullet clouds, something I always had trouble with in other shmups. It's not easy by any means, but it makes it manageable. You can choose three levels for each stage, which increase the bullet density - so if you're up for a challenge, by all means, choose Level 3. Doing this enough times in game will spawn bullets when you kill enemies, making it even more challenging. As with other CAVE games, you have a regular shot and holding down the button will slow your character down while they fire their more powerful laser. Killing enemies with light or laser shots spawns hearts and rings that increase your score. You can fire left or right, so having some memorization of the stages is helpful. Bombs can clear the screen of bullets and save you from taking a hit. There's also a lock on shot that will drain your character's accumulated score power and is useful for some tough bosses. Last, each character has an animal that functions as an option and shoots alongside you. I am by no means an expert in all of this game's mechanics, but it is a lot of fun and I would certainly recommend it as it contains DeathSmiles I and II.
Splendid port of a pair of very unique horizontal shooters. Deathsmiles 1 is the stronger of the two by a mile but Deathsmiles 2 isn't really bad and might even make for a better intro on account of being noticeably easier
good shmup starter i like it a lot and the designs are cute too
