About
Death of a Wish is a vicious action-RPG where style is salvation.
Play as Christian as he unites with new comrades to challenge the order that raised him. By taking down the four Sanctum Faiths: Father, Sister, Cardinal, and Priest, they will upend the order of the world.
Fight your way through a nightmare filled with horrifying monsters and terrifying people. Master brutal attacks and flashy combos as you struggle against the Corruption consuming you with style and grace. Shine your light in this surreal sea of darkness.

Unleash Christian’s cursed powers in a demanding and rewarding combat system. Be careful not to succumb to the ever-encroaching Corruption; achieve high ranks in combat and perform graceful combos to hold the Corruption at bay.
Rend your foes asunder with magical combos called Arias. Enhance your abilities with powerful Virtues that alter your approach to battle and the rhythm of combat. With a limitless array of ways to fight stylishly, build your character with passion to destroy your foes.
In the dreamworld of Paradiso, repressed memories and unspeakable feelings come to life as the nightmarish city of Neo-Sanctum. Delve into the secret underworld of the esoteric and abandoned to meet new comrades who will aid you on your journey.
Christian’s world is rendered with a surreal aesthetic like no other. Harsh, pulsating scratches upon a sea of darkness render a thick atmosphere brooding with emotion. Battles come to life in an animated spectacle of light and motion that remains easy to parse in play.
For audio, Nicolo Telesca’s chilling score mixes electronic sounds with live instrumentation and complements the visuals by eliciting feelings of tense anxiety and electrifying catharsis.

Excellent game, really fun.
Игра, которая рекомендует играть с геймпадом, имеет баг с ним из-за чего работают только 2 кнопки Увы, похоже на рефанд The game that recommends playing with a gamepad has a bug with it, which is why only 2 buttons work. Alas, it looks like a refand
Best top-down, stylish action game I ever played--plus it's got the angriest (complimentary) art style to go with its hyper-violent take on the downfall of a cruel, overbearing institution that's so good to tear to bloody pieces
Heat
more Lucah! more strangeness!
Plays like a dream -- smooth, intense, fast -- with nightmarish visual and musical style, and an amazingly touching story. I rarely see a game that fits together so beautifully; it's a perfectly cut gem. I cannot give it high enough praise.
An amazing follow-up to an amazing game. The meatiness of the first game gives way to more of a bakers kind of feeling: appears simple at first, but as you learn the ingredients and ratios and techniques the experience changes completely. At least 5 different playstyles (stun/dodge + slash/nuke & God Eater ranged pew pew), Huge amount of weapons and other customization options to tailor the above to a fine point. Great number of both optional and mandatory boss fights. Incredible normal enemy variety; in not just looks, but behaviour, vulnerability, and attacks too. few complaints:
After defeating Michael
you get a hint as to where to go, but if you're taking your time w/ the game you're not going to know what they are pointing at. Was personally lost for a few hours. There is a huge power differential in dedicating Chris to one playstyle versus building him to be versatile, and changing between these builds is rather tedious, disincentiving experimenting with the different playstyles. The customization is much too precise. ex: there are 6 main weapons, each with 3 branches, leading to a total of ~24 weapons; there are also about as many 'prayer card' attachments to further fine tune those weapons. Difficulty curve is a bit erratic and oftentimes normal enemy encounters can be harder than the actual bosses Combat mechanics can stack too many multipliers on top of one another. You can go a couple of runs finding an enemy or boss to be spongey if you play standard. Then, if you play beautifully, stacking up multipliers and keeping a combo up, your foe just melts.
太好了,希望前作汉化一起安排上
The art style, combat design, and music work together to insure the player can feel the emotions of each scene. Combat itself is great (though I had to take a break for a bit after getting too dash-happy so my fingers could recover), and I enjoy the mixing and matching of weapons and equipment to try and personalize the experience to your own play style as much as possible. The story deals with powerful emotions and complex topics in an excellent manner, and made me think deeply about what I really knew about each character. I hope to see more of this world (and excellent combat system) in the future, and considering the interesting changes between this and Lucah, I'm certain whatever could come of it would be just as good as this one at blending the mechanics and the story in the perfect way to get the themes across from whatever p.o.v. character they could choose.
Think of the edgiest goth Christian kid you knew in middle school. This is their doodle journal come to life.
