Easy but very short survival horror indie game (around 45 min to 1h). - the plot is very vague and not very comprehensive at the beginning but becomes understandable with time ( the plot twist in the end was really good ). - smooth gameplay, easy to understand how the game works ( solve some easy puzzles and pick items), you have tips to help you in your progression ( you cant get lost if you do then you really sucks at gaming :p ) -graphics are 8 bit art style, dark and gloomy but needs some polishing -sound effect are creepy and that's perfect for a horror game , no voice acting (8bit game i guess) -no glitches or bugs ( the achievements works again ) -easy achievements and got cards -reasonable price and worth the money but you can still grab it on sales recommend it for casual gamers and 8 bit fans 7/10

Not worth $5, not necessarily worth your time, isn't the worst game ever, but is bad. It's boring and the story + visuals are ugly. The optimization isn't great, but it isn't demanding at all so you should be fine. Easy 100% (Check my guide if you need help) 3/10 Days
Awful game, avoid. My Score - 1/10

Days Under Custody is a completely garbage 2D retro pixel side scrolling/classic "adventure" game with a horror theme. You're in a haunted apartment building and there's a ghost or whatever... look, the game is so badly made that getting into the plot is nigh on impossible if you posess even an iota of taste. This game has been translated from some other language into English... badly. If this was done through Google Translate, Google Translate should feel ashamed of itself. Regardless, the language in this game is broken and will put off a lot of gamers. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. There's no option to change the resolution and no useful graphics tweaks. There's no way to ensure this is running at the native resolution of your display. There's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. The controls and game handling are notably very clunky and unsmooth here. It's janky and unsatisfying to play... and any experienced gamer will tell you, the handling, responsiveness and general gameplay feel of the control scheme must be well polished for this kind of game to succeed. Unfortunately, this is something the developer seems to have phoned in, with little to no apparent gameplay testing. They dropped the ball on this one. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Days Under Custody didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for finding the first introductory note in the game, trivial to get, but less than 14 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game. The poor quality of this game is also reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this isn't consistent with the achievement stats, that show less than 14 percent of players bothered playing the game for any reasonable amount of time. How is it possible for this game to have so many concurrent players who didn't bother to played the game? Trading cards. People will use card idling software to collect the cards and sell them, but this won't trigger any achievements in-game. That tells us people only really bought this game for trading cards, and that's a damning indictment of the woeful quality. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards. Days Under Custody has the comically over-optimistic price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.
