Loved this game years ago and played it religiously. Now, I've noticed the community for it is sadly dead. This game could make a major come back if New World Interactive did Day of Infamy II.
Dead game. It's sad, because it used to be pretty fun.

I would not recommend buying Day of Infamy in 2025 because it is effectively a dead game with a poor 'singleplayer' component. I played on a weekday evening and there was a grand total of 8 players at max. The game is over 8 years old and it makes sense that people would move on. It seems like there are a few small communities that organize game nights but a regular player will not be able to find a populated match regularly. I only started playing it now since I've been clearing out my backlog and I had purchased it years ago when it was in its prime. The singleplayer / coop component is all I have been able to play and it is reliant on community servers from what it seems. There are Raids where you must move forward to capture objectives, Strongholds where you must capture objectives, and Entrenchment where you must defend from waves of enemies. You are given AI teammates that respawn when you capture objectives, but if you die then the round is over. This makes it hard to do anything since your teammate bots are not smart enough to do much against the endlessly spawning waves of enemies. If you're looking for a game that plays like it - the original Insurgency is on the same engine, has the same gameplay, and has a more active playerbase and is generally on higher sales than this game is. It also has a more enjoyable version of the 'singleplayer' / coop mode. If you're looking for a WW2 team shooter, then Day of Defeat: Source is once again all of the above.

Awesome game... I just wish more people were playing it!!
Мертва но все еще великолепна
this game is a rotting corpse but you can squeeze some fun out of it
Awesome game, definitely best to get a group of friends to play since the most populated servers rarely have more than 5 people. Solid game though, sad to see its in decline. I have fond memories of playing day of defeat and this was kind of like an expansion building off of that game. Also its still playable on windows 11 if you can get an updated version of the battleye anticheat and drop the files in. There's a few community guides on how to do this.
Probably one of the best WW2-era multiplayer shooters. The game runs well, even on laptop integrated graphics. The playerbase is very low, but you can still find full lobby's from time to time. At this price point, everyone should pick it up and try.
The devs WILL NOT make it playable on window 11 for some reason so if you DO NOT have window 11 its probably a good game
