I just wan’t to say thank you for this game. Im enjoying it so much! I really hope that you continue working on this game and adding more cases. Love the idea behind it! I would recommend this game for anyone starting out in coding, DB Query experience or just picking up an IT skill. Its fun and I cannot recommend it enough.

This was one of the few games that I've played which actually teaches you a useful skill. I've had it on my wishlist for a while and I am glad to have not been disappointed. I have a few things to say about it but [b] TLDR: [/b] Having an emulated desktop feels great, along with the gameplay and puzzles. It is difficult at times, but the hint system's not intrusive and great at helping you if you get stuck. It also taught me a lot about [b] reading [/b] from databases using SQLite, so it accomplished that part of its selling point. [h1]The atmosphere[/h1] This game's atmosphere is great, in the sense that you get your own emulated Desktop inside the game. I do, however, wish you could alt tab (or have a version of it) between in-desktop tabs, since it gets a bit hard after opening a few of them. I also liked the inclusion of wallpaper choices, albeit few in number. [h1]The gameplay[/h1] It [b]is[/b] an SQL based game, so it seemed kind of obvious, from my point of view, that it would have many puzzles involving SQL. The game varies in difficulty either in the query writing or the exploration of websites and putting together clues gathered from them. I found it quite nice for the game to be more than [b]just[/b] a database reader, making you use real problem solving skills to act as an actual detective. [b]However[/b], the case clues are, at times, too vague or poorly worded, which could certainly use improvement. I had to spend way too much time in some cases due to a sentence being too vague, which also led to arresting the wrong person once or twice. The only part of SQL included in the game was reading from databases, joining them, ordering, grouping etc. Moreover, the in game [b]manual[/b], which gets progressively unlocked, teaches you the needed SQL very well, save for a few notions that were harder for me to understand at first. [h1]The music[/h1] The music is nothing to be amazed by, although it fits quite nicely with the overall theme of the game. [h1]The story[/h1] The story itself had lots of funny moments and [spoiler] quite a big (and hilarious) twist at the end[/spoiler]. Nothing too complicated, which I wouldn't expect from this sort of game, but I would say it's quite enjoyable. [h1]The comedy[/h1] The game definitely does not take itself seriously, and it's certainly not shy to poke fun at the setting as well as the characters. For example, some cases have the most unserious premise, like [spoiler] your superior's kid dying in an MMORPG and said superior telling you to find the culprit to arrest them[/spoiler]. These things make the game easier to get through when your head's killing you from trying to decipher clues and putting them together. [h1]Bugs[/h1] During my playthrough of the game I have found no bugs worth noting, so the game is very stable. [h1]Conclusion[/h1] To finish, I would say this game is well worth the money if you feel like dipping your toes in SQL or you generally like puzzle games. I found the experience worth it and have loved the time I spent playing. While hard at times, the hint system certainly helps a lot, so it's not like you'd get stuck for too long.
