can we have the source code now?
The game is abandoned, do not buy it. It is NOT worth $20 in its current state. Not even $5!
Im gonna recommend it only because the potential for this game is there and im hoping with enough interest the developers will continue to work on this game because this game is awesome despite being unfinished. They goy the controller scheme and the whole idea of the game right. With a little but of more work this game is up there with the other sims. Aggressive inline deserves more love.
wish it was a real project and not abandoned...
It's a trash game owner gave up updating long ago stuck us with beta garbage don't purchase extremely upset
Кто в реальности катается. тот будет восторге) но надо допиливать игру.
Although the game isn't finished (and won't be since the developer has bailed on the project), it is actually a lot of fun to play once you get a hang of the controls. Yeah, it still has a lot of things that are a mess, but it also has a lot going for it that no rollerblading game to date has had. There's a lot to be said for aesthetic/feel and physics. Love playing this game, and if you look in the community discussions you'll find there are ways to add user created maps (including a pack that includes Jon Julio in the Danny Beer Them's). Highly recommend this if you love blading and video games like EA Skate/Skater XL/Session.
They should give the Lead to another Studio. Great Game but plays like an Pre-Alpha Game - Devs stopped working on that long Time ago. Don't buy unless you're ok with an Pre-Alpha Game with no Updates for about 19,99$
Aspetto fiducioso
I LOVE ON A ROLL! i fractured my pelvis, cant rollerblade. Ive been playing On A Roll while I heal and it has been a life saver! up front, If you're not at all interested in rollerblading, this probably isn't for you. it's not a finished game. not really a game at all: no objectives, no progression, no narrative. The map is kind of wonky and has large swaths of void and incomplete areas. it looks like game updates/development has stagnated and so it will remain as a simulator. all that said...its a good simulator! I LOVE ON A ROLL! and if you're an aggressive inline nerd that's been waiting/searching for a proper grind simulator you may love it too. you just skate around finding spots and lines to do classic tricks, mostly grinds and switchups (switch and natural btw!) but, like learning to skate... it does take patience. There is a steep learning curve. Its hard, which i personally see as more feature than bug, but the bugs, lots of bugs. This coupled with the novel, difficult controls was discouraging at first, because i wasn't always certain if it was me or the game when a trick wasnt going right. At this point i can say it was me. Timing is tough, and the controls are unique. Many the tricks youll want to do will be challenging, even simple ones at times. so i find the earned success of learning a trick, cleaning it up and then watching that replay to be really sweet! it can actually scratch that skating itch. some of the tricks look real stylish too, tip of the hat to anyone who wore the mo-cap. I do have a gripe with some tricks, like theres a savannah but no unity grind. Theres only maybe 4 grabs to do in the air. My biggest complaint would be the needless difficulty in timing a 180 into a grind. This would be any alleyoop or truespin grind from foward, also an inspin or outspin grind from fakie, or even any backside hblock trick ie bs royale, bs torque, bs savannah. these 180 grinds are all doable, but consistency is a serious strain, while 360s and 540s into grinds are cartoonishly easy, even accidental sometimes. The proportions of difficulty in these tricks are a stark mismatch from the tricks in real life. Its a strange frustration when you keep missing a trick because you keep doing what would be a much harder one on accident. The map has a few fun spots but as mentioned there is more to be desired. Luckily, there is an easy to use custom map slot and there are some absolute legends online that have been converting Skater XL maps to On A Roll and throwing the downloads out for free. Theres even an LA one and someone added the Them Skates shop and Blading Cup course in the map! Im going to be playing On A Roll for a long time. I'm a lifelong rollerblader and i have really enjoyed skateboarding simulators, so this game is really a dream come true. even if it feels incomplete as a game, i find the playing experience to be a more complete reflection of aggressive inline than any attempts before it. Thank you to the soldiers out there still converting/adding custom maps for the game. Thank you to Creative Concepts and lead dev! I think what youve made so far is very very special for rollerblading and I hope you come back and tinker every now and then!
