Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 7.71/day in the week to Aug 19 → 13.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Really wanted to like this game, I could not. The carriage movement feels awful, the game has constant stutters, lags and the speed up function for both the carriage and combat does not even work. Bosses feel unfair, but not DD1 unfair, no, like complete BS sometimes. Getting into a run feels like a chore, the selected paths for each character reset if they die and I don't even understand why would you ever continue a run if two of your units died during a Lair boss or whatever, literally impossible if you are doing hard difficulty runs. 2 hours each run btw.
Darkest Dungeon
In short, this game fails at being a rouge-like. It is a decent game overall, and if you are into story-focused experiences, Darkest Dungeon 2 has a great narrative underpinning it, with a great cast of characters and a superb narration. Having followed Darkest Dungeon since its early access, both titles of it, I have to say, it was always a strange decision to make this a "rogue-like". When players purchase a game of this genre, they expect things akin to Dead Cells, Risk of Rain, Slay the Spire, Monster Train - games where even if you are choosing archetypes for characters, it is entirely viable to change them fully and in fact, that's where much of the fun will come from, you design a build and push it to its limits against increasingly difficult odds. Darkest Dungeon offers you a stiff party of four, which will always be a party of four, which will always demand a healer and a 'stress healer', whereas stress functions as a secondary health bar, always demands a tank and a damage dealer. Regrettably, the cast of characters is very limited, with few mods to alleviate this problem. You also get to determine everything about the characters, from what sub-class they'll bring to the table, through their attack and skills all the way to which position(front, middle or central) they'll occupy. While the game does have a randomize button for both parties and characters, it is more of a suicide button. Which leads to this games' biggest problem. Its a massive time-waster, each time you start an expedition, you are pitting yourself into an hours long run, so you better: 1. Make a party with all of the major roles described above covered 2. Make a party which can substitute and complement each other for the major roles(typically another character with a lesser healing ability) 3. Make a party which you want to run together and who are not entirely crippled by being disrupted 4. Figure out the right subclass and the right abilities for them 5. Make sure they are suited to handling the mini-bosses 6. Can make sure of one of the pets you can choose 7. If you are running them, the negative end-game modifiers will not entirely screw the build over This alone already greatly limits what the party will look like, combined with the fact that unlike in the first game, you can't bring multiple copies of the same character and with much of the first game's cast not returning, as well as newer characters being scarce and almost entirely relegated to DLC makes the experience of building a new party almost akin to a HR recruitment task. Once this process ends the game shines, but again, not as a rogue-like, as a demanding turn-based combat game. If the time which was spent making multiple different iterations of many systems this game had(I do recommend looking through the update history of this game, there are parts of it which were reworked, then the rework got reworked once more.) was dedicated to making it an actual RPG with character dialogue and interactions, it'd be an incredible experience. One of the slightly controversial changes the game made from the original was removing the vagueness of character backstories. This, not only massively prolonged the creation of each character, as their story is told in interactive chunks during runs and each chunk is beautifully done. This wouldn't be a problem, if again, not for tonnes of time dedicated to making this happen. DD1 had vague, brief comic strips that at most implied a character's backstory, while leaving many entirely up to the player's interpretation, but most importantly saved time. The game's combat is fun, amazing even, it is punishing, at times unfair, but it is so well done that it is honestly one of the most impressive aspects of it. If you are a huge fan of turn based combat, I do recommend giving this one a chance. However, this is more or less where my praises end entirely. This game shouldn't be a rogue-like, should have never been one, the developers make basically every decision that is downright opposite of the genre, the runs are slow, sluggish, take ages to set up and can end at a whim due to unfortunate circumstance, the characters do not develop or change drastically during a run. The most you can usually hope for is slight stat variations. Concession after concession was made to the player-base to either lower the number of already limited rouge-like elements and to make the second game more similar to the first game. With the grandest among them being the Kingdoms Update. The Kingdoms game-mode, entirely unplanned when the game was still in early-access is the ultimate admission that the developer's vision was misguided. The way in which this game-mode uses characters from the previous game and how much it resembles DD1's goal is downright fan service. While the game-mode is indeed more similar, it lacks passion and dedication, much of its content is limited to itself, with enemies that were never brought to the main game-mode. Kingdoms, is in effect, the game that every DD1 player wanted when they witnessed the sequel on the horizon, just perpetually stuck in a kind of Beta state, as it was developed haphazardly and basically made on a whim to appease the community. To conclude, the game is gorgeous, the combat is compelling, the characters are well-made, but it fails at its own genre and is more for people who both fancy a difficult experience and turn based combat, not for DD1 or rogue-like fans.
