I did it!

In my first playthrough back in 2023, I felt extremely underwhelmed by Dark souls 3 after the peak of Dark souls 1. sure it's more refined and arguably prettier. but the map is extremely boring and disappointing in comparison. it plays like a linear straight line in a way. however upon coming back years later, after playing Bloodborne and Elden ring. i was a lot more thorough, and found all the areas i missed, and also did the DLC. with all of that included i think it is A LOT better than i originally gave it credit for. However... i still believe as a whole the map is boring to explore, and is the bare minimum for this genre. is it gorgeous at times? absolutely. But I believe this game is heavily carried by how refined the combat is, and the lore behind it. overall i give this game an 8.5/10, whereas i formerly had it at a 7/10.
