UPA ADP LA TROUXA KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK

THE WORST SOUL GAME EVER

need a scholarship in sinning first
The black sheep of the Dark Souls trilogy. Needs to be played to understand how good the newer games have gotten. It tries a lot of new things and it is not just the same game in a new jacket. The system got overhauled. Lot of quality of life changes that were implemeneted worked well. Some had the averse effect. It takes guts to try all these new things, but you can tell the devlopers missed thetime to properly implement everything. Monsters bosses and NPC fights are very frustrating to pass. The runback or travel to bosses is the worst of the 3 DS titles. Sometimes its just better to grind away the enemies, since they stop respawning after 12 deaths, than to rush back to the boss. Enemy lock on and tracking distance for ranged attacks is absurd, while your own spells and ranged attacks are close to melee distance. Response time for attacks or defensive rolls require serious stat investments to actually have the standard defensive rolls or potion drink times like the other games. Unlike DS3 "the door does not open from this side edition" this game feels more open though in praactice it loops around a lot too. Graphic wise it's good at the beginning but at the end of the game, most areas start to feel empty or copy-paste same texture. DLC is horrible and a mess. The bosses a pure PITA or even worse, boring, except for the Fume Knight and the samurai. Te second game to grind 100%, not as tedious as DS3 but not fun either. Covenant grinding is just not fun anytime. Completionists beware. change of pace from DS1 is very refreshing but at the same time you get the idea a different developer made this and slapped a Dark Souls sauce on it, like Doki Doki panic and Super Mario 2 for the NES. A decent standalone story that holds together better than Ds1 and DS3 but thats given the other 2 too much credit. Its about the journey and not the destination. Going Tank build saved me the most frustration but better players than me have gotten through it with glass cannons on a much higher pace.
