Dark Parables: Goldilocks and the Fallen Star Collector's Edition

Another of the Dark Parables that is a wonderful game to play and as usual the graphics are outstanding. The mini games are not all run of the mill which I found quite brilliant. The variety is one unlike any other H.O.G. I have played as of yet. The only tiny negative I have is I found the story line a bit on the boring side. But hey, that is just my opinion. This is [I]Dark Parables[/I] #10, another smooth and satisfying entry from Epix. Though it's not very long, all the content is excellent, including great puzzle mini-games and hidden-fragment scenes. I enjoyed those so much that I played them over and over in order to get full achievements. Again, the story is not very exciting, but presented well.

Dark Parables is one of the BEST HOP game series I have run across and by far one of the most fun. I own almost the entire collection to date and would love to continue adding to my library. Buy the bundle or when they're on sale and you will literally have HOURS of fun. Each of these games takes me roughly 6 hours. Well worth it!

Another good part of the DP series. this time lokilly only one minigame that was repeatedly put in, but this at least had a reason. The only thing what was interesting is: None of the characters where sympethatic. There where 2 or 3 minigames that i didnt really like but all in one a nice and solid game. I can recommend it to all DP fans and all HIO (HOG) fans.

[h1]Same old HOG, different title[/h1] My honest view on this hidden object game was meh. If I could have given out a neutral review then that's what this would be. This is another entry in the Dark Parables series, where a Fable Detective (you) comes along and unravels or solves a case centred on some well-known fables. In this case it's obviously Goldilocks. One of the better aspects of these games is the story is often unique and takes place after the original stories that we know so well. So there's no angry bears or trying out different sized chairs, beds or meals in this one. I don't have a problem with the story or the in-game achievements (sadly no steam achievements in this one). The story was about what I expected based on my previous forays into the genre, but considering the limitations of the genre, I doubt any mind-blowing plot could ever truly grace us with its presence. There's always going to be story elements you'll remember from other games (if you play other HOGs). At least there's no annoying furries in this game. The one thing that really annoys me about the genre as a whole (and I may have mentioned this in other reviews) is the lack of ambition development seems to have. Cutscenes are always the same cardboard cutouts in motion, people always look so warped once they start with the facial animations. Thankfully I don't pay much attention to all that nonsense. I don't play these games for the story, I play them for the mess scenes, trying to find things in them, figuring things out. Not all of the mess scenes are fun either - So many of them seem easy to begin with - often you find the items you are looking for stand out from the scenes, such as slightly clearer artwork, a different level of brightness or colour - but I always seemed to get stuck on one item, and it's size or colour would be nothing like the little reference picture you get. I probably could have not bothered with this game and it wouldn't effect my life one way or the other. If you like HOGs as a genre, you'll get it anyway. Maybe you need it to help you sleep.

I can't believe this. This is the first dark parables game that I ever game a negative rating on. The game starts on a high note. But over time it begins to decline with more and more lackluster puzzles and story engaging elements. One of the last puzzles tells you to defeat the villain, but guess what? It does not tell you anything about how the puzzle works! Just defeat the bad guy somehow without knowing the rules. It was so lazy. The game does have beautiful art, but it just went downhill so badly. Just didn't like it at all.

The main story is actually pretty good. The bonus story doesn't make any sense, based on the premise that a wished for miracle would stop at a country border. Still, good enough.

Sou completamente VICIADA e APAIXONADA em toda a série Dark Parables. A história é muito bem feita e pensada. Divertida de jogar. Essa coleção é simplesmente perfeita.
