Short version: 62%
It is difficult to describe Dark Parables 7. Its story is tragic and memorable—if a bit erratic—but the gameplay can be annoying. I think I recommend it, but with some large asterisks over everything.
Long version:
The Ballad of Rapunzel feels like watching a condensed version of a better Chinese television drama about Rapunzel and her half-sister. It is touching. It is tragic. It is memorable. Also, it is hectic. Sometimes nothing happens for a long time, then suddenly the plot rushes forward and entire chapter. Returning players will feel the rewards of keeping up with the previous games. There are many references to the vast lore of Dark Parables, completed with a fresh set of stories to make this world even larger. The gameplay is, sadly, a weak point. I know it sounds strange, but the graphics are too beautiful and detailed, so it is easy to miss a fragment or an important item. The puzzles offer variety, but not quality. Finally, our inventory is too bloated, so it can take some luck to find the right thing for the right spot. However, if you were here in the previous games, I strongly suggest staying onboard just one more time. After all, this is the last stop before a new studio took over and slowly ruined the series.

We are halfway through the game series and even more darkness follows. But... Fairy Tales are supposed to be this way in the first place. Apart from really beautiful/cute objects in all of these, the people are well drawn as well (every single game too). Especially in the Bonus Game. Prince. ^^" The highlight? Hmm... You just really wanted to put an end to the "bad guy"... Up until you find out the truth and who the "bad guy" truly is. Then there is a choice... But is it really a choice...? Still great, going strong and relaxing. Thanks you! :) :> :D (The map now shows "Active Areas" for you to do stuff in and there are IN GAME Achievements only. Woop.)

Nosegay, that's everything you need to know
This has been my favourite game in the series so far. The art is so so pretty. And the game was pretty long too. I read that there are multiple endings for this game, depending on which items you choose towards the end. I've never heard of that before in a hidden object game, I'll have to play this one again sometime. Recommended!
I love this series as a whole, but this is one of my favorites. These games always have well thought out and intricate plots and build upon one universe so sometimes you will see reoccurring characters and fun hidden references. 100/10 recommend.
I enjoyed this game and I think it is one of the "better ones" of the Dark Parables series. I am left with questions at the end though... What exactly did the Mother Gothel character do & why? As far as I could tell she was mad at a goddess... but, maybe I missed a key bit of plot somewhere or the other... As a Fragmented Object game, it has much more of a story line than many of them and I did enjoy playing the game. I will probably even play it again, which is high praise from me for this genre... I have a great pile of HOGs that I have never even finished, much less replayed. Some of the puzzles were barely reskinned from other Dark Parable games, but that happens a lot with series games anyway, I enjoyed most of them anyway. The artwork was very nice, especially in the Fragmented Object scenes, and the amount of detail in those scenes meant that some of them were fairly difficult. The music was quite nice and fitting to the different scenes and tasks involved. I will say that the game was definitely worth the price, I spent close to 6 hours on it (not rushing through) and the price was much less than what is charged for a movie!
