Otima experiencia similar a Goof Troop
goof troop´s spiritual successor

Love this game :)
Fun short coop game Performance wise it got a little laggy at times but a quick restart solved that. Note for the devs:
The escape sequence bugged out after we died in it;

-Timer went up instead of down

-Puzzles already solved in the run before got reset, essentially softlocking us in the escape. We solved this by simply doing the puzzles again on a retry but the intended shortcut door at the start was useless due to this
Unobtainable/glitched achievements: No I'm a bit split on this review. I enjoyed Randy & Dandy in the past and thought that version was fine, it has some things I didn't like, but it wasn't just released and just a charming little game. This new release (the DX version) has a new level as far as I could find online but hasn't much more improvements from what I could remember or could find online. Some things that I was disappointed in are that there are no resolution settings, no keybinding settings, the load times are a bit long for such a small game but most of all, no skippable text. which means if you keep dying on a boss, you have to hear his story again, and again, and again... A skip button shouldn't be too hard to implement in a new version and would be a nice QoL feature in the new version. I still like the game, it doesn't overstay its welcome, it is nice and not too challenging, and just a lot of fun. I just had a little bit higher expectations for a DX version. Here is what I wrote about the first version, which a few changes because of changes in this new version: This is a short but fun action-adventure game. You can play this solo or as a local multiplayer game. There is a small story in the game; if you would like to know what is going on, don’t skip the intro when you start the game! This game has 6 levels. In each level, you’re trying to find 4 keys to open the way to the boss. Dandy & Randy DX doesn't have any missable achievements. I would highly recommend first saving up to 7,5k coins before buying anything. 2 Achievements are for visiting a specific spot in level 1 and level, but if you miss those you can go back and go there easily. The rest of the achievements are story-related and can't be missed at all.
I was hoping for a spiritual successor to Goof Troop on the SNES, and Dandy & Randy DX is not that. It is really easy, really short, and the handful of puzzles are very, very simple. Having said that, what I wanted even more than a Goof Troop successor was a game I could play with my SO (someone who is not much of a gamer and has difficulty with mechanics like "jumping") and I did get that! The controls were relatively simple, there isn't much punishment for failing (when one player dies, they can come back for free once the other player walks to a neighboring section), and the puzzles didn't involve any frustration. We had fun together for a couple of hours, beat the game and got all the achievements. There isn't much there, but as a game you can play with someone who is perhaps more of a "casual" gamer, Dandy & Randy DX serves a purpose. I enjoyed the pixel art and character sprites, and the music is quite good (if a bit repetitive).
