Может вызвать определеённый интерес, особенно у тех кто любит посложнее. can definitely feel the deus ex and streets of rogue inspiration. love the brought colors and aesthetics and the dynamic sound.
An excellent, neon soaked hotline miami style shooter. Hack, slash, shoot, and run your way through levels. You can upgrade your weapons and gear. This is very very cool. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5xGyNvIbOQ
There's so much to love about this game -hidden secrets, tons of upgrades, I love getting stat boosts from the mini games -and the hoverboard is so fun to ride! So much depth to this game too! Things like plotting your path based not just on things like markets and rest stops but also on the level modifiers is really cool and you can even hack some of the upgrades to reroll their random effects if you don't like the pickup! My first few runs I didn't really care for the sword (mostly because I couldn't use it on the hoverboard) but now I'm appreciating this games stealthy side too. I also have a tendency to not use things like grenades and traps and save them and that has definitely been a mistake so far -there's plenty of em -and they help a lot! Some of this might be obvious, but I barely paid attention to the tutorial (tutorials kinda of annoy me) so it's been really fun figuring out all the nuances to the game as I go and reaalllly fun getting super op
This is a stylish cyberpunk Top-Down-Twin Stick Shooter with Roguelike elements Hotline Miami Inspired. Destroy the cult in the generated locations of Cyber City. Gameplay: https://youtu.be/qJ7q0plTZuo Unlike most of the games, here is a unique visual style: neon lights, scanline-like filters, cyberpunk color to evoke the dystopian future. You complete missions, shoot enemies, hack cars/turrets/drones/sewers/junction boxes/enemies, participate in mini games, improve your equipment and skills. You have weapons, a flying drone and a hoverboard. You can use the hoverboard as a vehicle and as a weapon. [u]You can read other reviews and subscribe to our curators. I like Cyber Cult City. I recorded some of my progress in Cyber Cult City. Please take a look if you value a more Audio / Visual experience, as I discuss the game as I hack, slash and blast my way through it; in some semblance of style perhaps! https://youtu.be/SMqIOd8MEOs Cyber Cult City is an Indie, Action Roguelite set in a Cyberpunk city, with cyber cults! Who would have thought! Cyber Cult City is sort of a Cyberpunk take on Streets of Rogue, but faster, and neo drenched, and rocking a hover board. Neo drenched and rocking a hoverboard: you have arrived cyber fans!
A Faster, Focused, Cyberpunk Take on Streets of Rogue:
Cyber Cult City has the random, procedural generation city block ‘dungeons’ like Streets of Rogue, along with the freeform way of completing your mission in each map. You can hack cars, cyborgs, and lots of other electrical objects using battery charges to set traps for your foe, making your task of knocking them over and taking their stuff easier. Like in Streets of Rogue, each map you have a mission to complete, like destroy 10 cyborgs, or rescue 10 people, and when you complete the mission, you to move along to the next map. Like Streets of Rogue, in Cyber Cult City, maps have random modifiers, like Neo haze, which makes it harder to see at range, or heavy armor cyborgs; or electrical resistance cyborgs, adding some fun modifiers to the missions, mixing up your approach to taking back the city block. Also, like Streets of Rogue, Cyber Cult City is packing that delightful pixel graphic look that many find so endearing; (I know I do). Unlike Streets of Rogue, in Cyber Cult City the character roster is much smaller, and you have to unlock the other characters, and is absent the local co-op. However, in Cyber Cult City, you get a hoverboard, and can use it to grind over cars, smash cardboard boxes for loot, and ride giant spinning fans, letting them launch you across the map; super fun short fast travel!
A Fun CyberPunk Random World:
Cyber Cult City is actually an evac shooter, as you’re the city mayor here, you still got some pull in your fallen city, so after you complete your task, you call your chopper, and head off to the next zone; for more direct executive action; fun! As a well kitted out and connected mayor, you start with a recharging energy blaster and a sword, and you can dash into enemies with it, cutting them down melee mayor style! Your gun recharges over time, as does your melee stamina, so don’t worry about tracking down ammo; it’s the future. You have some limited grenades and a trap too; these are limited use, but luckily, you can score more off your many foes! Remember: You’re the Cool Mayor, so you get to do drive-bys with your hover board! Power has its perks! Enemies drop money, blew em away and score their stash! You can hack cars and cyborgs to seize control of them too, turning them into your weapons; though hacking costs battery power. There is a sort of Slay The Spire like map you progress through, also procedural, where you pick your path forward through the next few lvls. In each city block, you can score cash, batteries, traps, and grenades, off dropped cyborgs, and you can grind over cardboard boxes to loot them, sometimes getting traps and other goodies. Don’t forget to grind over those boxes! Remember: You’re the Cool Mayor! You can find perks and stat upgrades in crates, improving your use of certain abilities, like with guns, or the sword; some of them are locked, so better find that key Mayor Man! You can enter some of the buildings and talk to people for side tasks, for a reward! NPCs can also give you upgrades, like 1 improving your traps damage by 25%; wow! Remember: You do NOT heal between missions unless you find a rest stop: this mayor is on a roll, and will not stop their executive rampage! You can rarely find healing in cardboard boxes too; handy.
Meta Progression:
There are 4 class unlocks, unlocked by beating the game with each class before it. You can also find drone parts, to upgrade the damage, fire rate, speed, and energy of your drone. You can also gain research points, and upgrade all your characters; things like 20% more battery power, melee damage up by 10, +20 to hp, meaningful and stacking powers like that. Both the Drone parts and the Research Beakers are kept between runs; letting you amass some real meta progression power here; nice. Controller Support is present, as is good old mouse and keyboard. I found mouse and keyboard control felt much better and more precise here, so that is what I used in the above video. While I did enjoy my time with Cyber Cult City, I did come across some areas where it could be better. Please let me know if anyone thinks I’m off base here, or if any of this is out of line. I’ll try and keep this organized. Tech Issues:
1. Turn Off the Beeps and Boops
I Really Wish I Could Turn Off the Beeps and Boops UI Sounds When Text Is Displayed. It rapidly gets very annoying.
2: Bug?: The Wish fountain was not working for me; bugged?
Suggestions:
3: X That Hack Attempt Mr. Mayor!
An ability to X” that hack attempt would be very helpful here. As when you’re in a firefight, the big pop-up hacking window can really distract you, easily causing you to get hit! Like an X on the upper right handle side of the pop-up window. If we’re going full bore into the internet of everything, at least let me close the pop-up windows! This isn’t Vh1!
4: Hostages Should Be Shown On The Map Once The Player Has Seen Them.
Just to speed up the cleanup after the player has pasted all the low tech cybermen. I know you don’t have to kill all the cyborgs first, but it just feels right…
5: My Perks!
Perks should not be replaced and destroyed by default if you click on them, they should just be added. It seemed many perks were just disappearing on me when I clicked on them. At first, it seems like you can have only 1 perk per category, but that’s not true, it’s just that I was accidently deleting my preexisting perk when I was trying to select another! OUCH! I just tested again, and yes, you can replace and completely Destroy Preexisting Perks on your character if you click on the perk when looting it, as opposed to clicking on an empty space Next to your existing perk! Very Ouch! Why not simply replace the swapped out perk, and drop it at their feet, offering the player a little try before you buy? Also, this removes the very bad feeling of accidentally destroying a perk when the player did not mean to; that Really hurts… Almost exit the game hurts…
6: The Stat Boosts Should Be Made Much More Visually Distinct From The Perks.
To make it much more clear to the player that they are getting a stat adjustment, not another perk. I know it says that on the right after you click on it, but not when you see it on the ground. Also, as it is currently, they look seemingly identical when picked them up, leading the player to expect to get another ability to click on or drag over. Instead, they get something that looks very similar, with a little arrow and a text block to read, but no perk. If they stop and look closer to read, they will see it adjusts their stats, but as they were likely expecting just another perk upgrade, they might feel confused and cheated by the game, as they appear to get nothing at a quick glance, which feels like a real disappointment. Anyway, my hopefully helpful suggestions aside, I really enjoyed my time with Cyber Cult City. Cyber Cult City is a fun, fast and focused Cyberpunk take on Streets of Rogue, with an energy blaster and a sword, and is easily worth a wishlist and a watch. Watch?
Very cool and unique game. I enjoyed the general atmosphere and the story of the Cyber Cult. Gameplay is very fun and upgrades are always interesting to get. Enemy variety is good (I really like those pesky hoverboard guys who run away). I also love how you can fly around so quickly on the hoverboard and jump over buildings. The music is also quite computery and cool sounding and those minigames are a humorous and interesting way of providing the player with a stat increase while also giving them a break. As far as issues go there weren't many, my only criticisms would be that occasionally enemies are very hard to find and also that I got stuck inside a building once by jumping on top of it (although it seems that the latter is now fixed). Overall a very nice and polished game, nice job!
Very cautious thumbs up, has a bunch of cool ideas and I think it has its merits, but it's all over the place. The UI is confusing and way too cumbersome and a lot of stuff is not properly explained and needs some experimentation. Searching through every last nook and cranny of every level to check if you haven't missed an item or upgrade can be fun at first, but becomes pretty tedious eventually. You can opt to not do that, but then you run the risk of being under powered for later. Runs can drag on quite long (due to a lot of time spent just searching through every level) and death can come pretty swiftly. At one point unexpectedly died to a specific bullet when I still had 60% hp (although it previously only dealt 10% damage if I recall correctly). The perks you can get for your weapons are pretty cool and let you become pretty overpowered. So when you got a good run going it can be fun to just stomp everything. But the drone for example just breaks too easily and is far too expensive to repair, I think I spent pretty much all game with the drone just broken. There are permanent upgrades you can unlock for meta progression (the mentioned drone and "research") but the drone is always broken anyway and research points accumulate so slowly it feels like a joke. On one run I had infinite resources because of super cheap hacking and a perk that gave me a chance to get loot from hacking (including energy required for hacking). So it's neat the game allows you to break it like that. Sadly the level modifiers are very minor so the levels all feel very similar, except for the around 4 different mission types (also why do I have to search in hostage missions the whole level for that one hostage I've missed, they should just be marked on the map like the enemies). Coupled with the slow pace (combat is well paced, it's just the long time running around after clearing all enemies that takes so long) makes it all a bit of a slog. I really want to start a new game and finish it this time, but I don't know if I can get myself one more time over the initial slow period just to probably die in an instant again. And it's a shame because upgrading your mines to be homing, or riding on your hoverboard through the streets at high speed, or hacking cars to crash and explode into a group of enemies is all so cool.
An Eye-bleeding Immersive Shooter that you NEED To See
Check out the review on 2 Headed Hero! Cyber Cult City is part action-roguelite and part mission-based imsim. Each of its procedurally generated areas represents a single cult-controlled city block, and it’s your job as the Mayor of Cyber Cult City to stomp out cultists and save the citizens. Every level is a little sandbox that provides a basic objective and then sets you loose to approach it any way you see fit. You might be tracking down hostages in one map, or destroying cloning facilities in another. And this isn’t just a run-and-gun shooter - you can get some help and hints from loyal citizens, hack cars to send them careening towards your enemies, bat bullets away with your sword, or just spend some time fooling around and landing some sick jumps on your hoverboard. Completing the objective summons the handy Mayoral helicopter, and unlocks the next map on your path towards the final confrontation with Cyber Cult leadership. In addition to your standard issue hoverboard, the basic Mayoral benefits package includes a pistol, a sword, a landmine and a grenade. In true roguelite fashion, there’s a number of stackable upgrades and mutators for each one of your weapons that dramatically change how they function, how much damage they do, and whether they can fire bouncing projectiles, heat-seeking missiles, vampiric landmines, and so forth. There’s dicey injectors full of street-juice that can boost or reduce your base stats, and even research trees to unlock MORE options down the road. Overall, this is a pretty fresh and original take on both rogue-lites and immersive shooters that provides way more player freedom than you'd expect. If you can get past the primitive visuals, you'll find a lot to like here. https://youtu.be/ZsRzwnbzXrA
