Crysis Warhead

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

the 'story' is absolute trash. the plot devices are imbecillic! and the REALLY poor game play, is cringe worthy! you're constantly running out of ammo, in the initial couple of scenarios.. where you cant see the enemy, but they can see you! even when you're 'invisible'...and the enemy bullet soak is ridiculous! whereas you can only take a few bullets and your 'shield' is down.. then your health depletes with a few more bullets! I empty multple clips into the enemy and they are still going! utter stupidity. the graphics are really poor...and in the 'tute' it claims you're supposed to hold down 'mouse 3'.. but it dont work! gotta hold down V for suit options! and the suit runs out of 'energy' way too quickly.. but the worst part is it installs all this MP sypware installation crap, even though I have NO intention of playing MP.. no dev should install stuff you dont want.. regardless of their 'mandate'.. gamespy and/or punkbuster are trojans.. and constantly crash the game.. not worth paying anything and certainly not worth playing! the 'ending' is a complete joke!

Crysis Warhead is what I keep calling Crysis 1.5. Not a real sequel. Not Crysis 2. More like a side story showing what Sergeant Michael “Psycho” Sykes was doing during the same island disaster as the first game. That idea is good on paper. The first Crysis had a big island, alien mystery, nanosuit soldiers, and a lot of story happening around Nomad. Warhead could have made the world feel bigger by showing another part of the same nightmare. But for me, it does not really do that. Warhead takes away too much of what made the first Crysis interesting and replaces it with more noise. More shooting. More rushing. More explosions. More “go here, survive this, now go there.” The first Crysis was flawed, but it had space. You could scout a base, sneak through the jungle, swim around, steal a vehicle, use cloak, strength, speed, armor, or just cause chaos. When it worked, it made you feel like a hunter inside a dangerous open sandbox. Warhead feels tighter, louder, and more directed. Some people like that. I understand why. It is shorter, faster, and more action-heavy. Psycho also has more personality than Nomad. He is louder, angrier, rougher, and more human. But that change also makes the game feel smaller to me. Not smaller in graphics. Not smaller in explosions. Smaller in feeling. The first Crysis felt like a dangerous island. Warhead often feels like a ride built through the leftovers of that island. It moves closer to that Call of Duty or Battlefield style of pacing. Not completely, because it still has the nanosuit, vehicles, CryEngine physics, and some open combat areas. But it feels more like the game is pushing me through action beats instead of letting me breathe and choose my own way. That is my biggest problem with it. Crysis should not feel like it is on rails. The broken nanosuit cold section is a good example. Psycho’s suit is damaged, so you have to move from fire to fire to survive the freezing environment. I understand the idea. On paper, it should be tense. You are in a frozen hell with a damaged suit, and survival depends on warmth. But I did not enjoy it. To me, it felt less like survival and more like a leash. Go to the next fire. Then the next fire. Then the next fire. Instead of making me feel clever, the game told me exactly what panic it wanted me to feel. That is not the freedom I want from Crysis. The nanosuit already had problems in the first game. Cloak drains too fast for my taste. Armor drains. Speed drains. Strength is useful but limited. The game sells you power, then constantly takes that power away. Warhead does not fix that feeling. Because the pacing is faster, the suit sometimes feels less like a toolbox and more like a button you press when the script allows it. The old Crysis technical curse is also still here. Warhead was supposed to be more optimized than the first game, and for some people it did run better. But it is still CryEngine 2. It is still dense jungle, physics, particles, shadows, vegetation, vehicles, explosions, AI, and high-detail effects fighting your hardware. The monster may be better trained, but it is still a monster. The AI is the same kind of mixed bag. Sometimes enemies flank, search, shout, and make firefights feel alive. Other times they act brain-dead, run around confused, or fail to understand where shots are coming from. Warhead’s faster action can hide some of that, but the problem is still there. The physics are also still funny and cursed. Trees break, debris flies, bodies ragdoll, vehicles go strange, and sometimes the world feels alive. But when it breaks, it breaks like a haunted puppet show. That can be funny, but it can also destroy the mood. The weapon feel still has some of the same issues too. The suppressor makes sense for balance, but quiet shooting can feel weak and unsatisfying. At distance, enemies can feel too spongey, and stealth can feel less like being a skilled hunter and more like annoying someone to death. That is Warhead for me. It is not garbage. It is not lazy. It has good action, strong visuals, Psycho is a more interesting character than Nomad, and if you want a shorter, louder, more explosive Crysis, you may enjoy it more than the first game. But I do not. For me, Warhead removes too much of the quiet jungle, the scouting, the slow dread, and the broken freedom that made the first Crysis memorable. It feels like someone took the haunted jungle mansion and turned it into a theme park ride. The walls still have blood on them. The lights still flicker. The monster is still there. But now there are rails under your feet. Final verdict: Crysis Warhead is worth playing if you want more Crysis, if you like Psycho, or if you are interested in CryEngine and late-2000s PC gaming history. But for me, it is not the better Crysis. It is Crysis 1.5. A louder remix. A side story that many people may enjoy, but one that left me colder than the frozen island itself. I respect what it is. But I do not like what it chose to become.
Crysis 1'in ek hikayesi olmuş başarılı bir ara oyun.
2026 ve hala müthiş
Хорошо сохранилась игра, прикольный боевичек
This game has always been a curiosity for me. I never played Crysis when it first came out on PC as my computer at the time was nowhere close to being able to run it. I did eventually play the Xbox 360 port and even had a decent time with Crysis 2 and 3 when those came out, but Warhead was always something I never got to experience. Now that I have, I can confidently say this can easily be skipped. First off, the game is extremely short - like maybe 3-5 hours if you're taking your time. I know this is technically a standalone expansion, but for a non-sale price of $20 this feels steep even today. I also had to jump through a ton of hoops to even get the game to run. Yes, this is one of THOSE games that just does not play well with modern hardware and operating systems. After I did get it running though, the game would frequently crash. I'd wager a good hour of my playtime was spent replaying sections of levels because the game would just stop mid-cutscene or crap itself as I'm about to enter combat. Despite the technical issues I had, I just don't think the game is really worth it as a game either. It feels a lot more linear than the original Crysis, with very few secondary objectives and virtually nothing new in terms of gameplay. As far as I can tell, there's like on unique weapon that you use during the last boss fight but everything else is stuff you did in the base game. The cutscenes are super janky and awkward to the point they feel unfinished. I was genuinely wondering if my game was bugged or something but when I looked up gameplay on YouTube the cutscenes really are that bad. If you're desperate for more classic Crysis gameplay, maybe buy this on sale for $5, but don't think you're missing out on anything like I did if you skip this. The story is threadbare and does nothing to add to the original. The gameplay is the same, the maps feel smaller, and the overall experience is way too short. And that's only if you can get the game to run properly.
