Crow Country is a surprisingly amazing addition to the survival horror genre, inspired by and directly taking from earlier classics but feeling upgraded in many ways. A huge highlight of the game for me are the environments, the set-pieces, the models of every little object and their details and of the characters and monsters. It is very reminiscent of something like classic Final Fantasy VII's pre-rendered backgrounds, but with Crow Country you actually get to move the camera around and see that the environment is modeled rather than just being a backdrop. I enjoyed looking into each detail, changes in the areas throughout the progression of the story, as well as finding all the hidden secrets and resources scattered around. The characters and story were also surprisingly well written and different in some ways compared to my expectations going in to Crow Country due to my experience with other games of the genre such as Resident Evil. Not to spoil the overall plotline or ending, but it was a refreshing take on this type of story in a survival horror game. And it was satisfying to get new context for many things that I had been theorizing about or didn't have answers for, and to play through the game again putting together "the rest of the puzzle" so to say after the ending. The ladder sequence also got my hands up in the air, absolute cinema before my eyes. I do kind of wish there was more to experience as I beat the game in ~10 hours first then ~3 hours on my S rank playthrough, but I think for what the game is it didn't need to be more or to drag on just for the sake of padding hours out, I much more appreciate the high quality of each hour of what we got here. Crow Country is a great game, highly recommend it even if you aren't familiar with the genre I think it's a perfect entry point.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I wish AAA companies put half as much love and personality into a survival horror game as the devs of Crow Country put into theirs. I liked this game a lot, so i recommend it
Played for almost 2 hours and refunded. While the creepy factor was interesting, I could not get past the terrible combat. I read that you can just run past the monsters but this just becomes annoying as they just fill up all the areas quickly. The terrible aiming of the gun makes it hard to line up shots and typically has you wasting precious ammo. Most enemies take a bullet storm in order to put them down. Granted, I didn't unlock the majority of the weapons so I can't tell what they are like. I then tried the explorer mode and quickly got bored as of course there isn't any feeling of dread. I just stopped caring about the story line as it wasn't that interesting to me. The graphics also started to wear on me as it was just such a throwback to the PS1 era that should just be buried and forgotten. Terrible combat plus a mediocre story pushed me to the refund button. Meh....
A loveletter to classic survival horror. Wonderful game, loved every second of it, even if the aiming is a bit strange to get used to. Normal mode isn't too challenging. Atmosphere, story and puzzles are all 10/10. My playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLe4P9y07EGFY
This game is so fun. It gives resident evil vibes, and is so fun.
So good! I finished it in one sitting on the Murder of Crows (hard) difficulty with all secrets found. I'll definitely be replaying it at some point. Stylistically and artistically, it's just incredible -- it blends whimsy with terror effectively. Crow Country is a theme park, and you feel the joy in its design even through the bloody lens of its current state. I'm reminded of how Team Cherry reverse-engineered the world of Pharloom in Silksong by firstly visualizing it at its golden age before considering how it fell into the ruinous state that we now know it as. Similarly, there is so much attention paid to what Crow Country looked like before the game's events, and the effect is that it truly feels haunted. The developers know how to swing that pendulum from comforting to horrific to keep you on your toes. Crow Country some of the coziest save points in any game I've played immediately juxtaposed with inspired, horrific creature designs. The world also evolves as you play, so that you can never feel comfortable in even the most familiar of areas. The combat, which I would consider to be the game's backbone, felt immediately classic and is satisfying to master. I enjoyed the push-your-luck system where you can do more damage when closer to enemies, but risk getting hit. I loved how different enemy designs threw your aim off in new ways, and how you are encouraged to make strategic decisions about which areas to clear to make things easier for yourself in the future at the cost of your current ammo. Now, the weakest part of the game for me: the puzzles. I actually think the overall design of them is very good, but the game really holds your hand for all of the non-optional ones, almost always just giving you the answer straight up. There was no point where I was stumped, as I could just refer to the notes and know what to do next. It's unfortunate, because I don't think any of the puzzles are hard enough (nor is the world big enough) to warrant this design choice, and it ruined the magic for me.
There's literally a note that tells you the exact order of the items you obtain in the game, and it ripped me out of my immersion.
I wish the developers trusted in their design and in their players rather than resort to being safe. Overall, though, this game is a very easy recommend.
This game has a great graphical style very reminiscent of PS1 era games and it plays similar to the Resident Evils/Silent Hills of back in the day too. It's a great joy to play for any fans of those series.
I didn't like this game at first, the puzzels were hard and the combat was annoying but after finishing it it's one of my favourite games I've played recently. The atmosphere especially is amazing But seriously if you can, play it with a controller it's so much easier than mouse and keyboard
