I got the game as a Gift and i am honestly torn, on one hand i like the aesthetics and the mechanics used on the other hand the amount of tedious tasks and sometimes lack of direction make me dislike it. What´s good about the game: - The concept about the blood being your health and also your ammo - The story overall - The graphics and sound design What´s bad about the game: - NO remapping keys - tedious tasks - using the same texture of key items and making them for different things Overall i had a good time playing through the story once, would i buy it at full price? Probably not, i would recommend buying it during a sale. I really disliked that i wasn´t able to remap any of the keys simply because i am used to crouching with "c" which in this case would be healing (not that bad just annoying) but putting reload on "spacebar"??? I just don´t see reason behind that decision. I did however really like the mix of Resident evil and kind of Dark soulsy vibe the game had on top of the mechanics that your health is also your ammo and you therefore have to watch your shots.

I loved this game a lot more than I was expecting to. The atmosphere and aethetic is top notch and the sound design deserves a particular shoutout. I do wish there was a bit more enemy variety and the later game enemies were a bit confusing to fight. The boss fights were simple but well executed. The story was a bit hard to follow at times but I enjoyed the ending. Overall the mechanics are incredibly unique and fun to master, the upgrades and skills are very helpful and the difficulty curve is well balanced. Highly recommend
Un juego corto pero buenísimo a mi parecer
A tremendous first effort! - 3.5/5 For a first attempt from a small independent studio, I think Crisol is a pretty damn good game. It wears its inspiration on its sleeve, taking heavily from Resident Evil 8 and 4's remake, as well as introducing a few Bioshock Infinite-esq elements to create a new world with some really cool ideas. For fans of those games or any that have them wishlisted, I'd highly recommend giving this a try at it's pretty fair cost, even as a stop-gap game until that next release. For many seasoned gamers, parts of Crisol may seem tedious, but I'd say for the most part, it makes up for this with its art style and world design. Gunplay feels good, although could definitely feel weightier at times and the star of the show is most certainly the health/ammo system. Balancing your health which doubles as your ammo throughout the game can create some really tense moments in combat, debating if your penultimate sliver of health could save your life or end it. Pacing is relatively good, save for a few moments, and the art design finds a perfect balance between semi-realistic and stylized in a way I think will age well. It also runs pretty damn well for an Unreal 5 game, with the exception of quality scaling when moving from high to medium on some settings, something I imagine is more that fault of Unreal. Unfortunately, it's not all sunshine and rainbows, as this game does have more than a few issues which is to be expected with any first release. To start, a few niggling issues include the lack of true widescreen support, where gameplay runs beautifully at 21:9 but interactive item cutscenes like blade sharpening or puzzles will still be pillar boxed to 16x9, bizarrely specific movement control in cliff strafing scenarios that only let you move if you're looking a certain way and your toggling the exact same spot and janky, slow, unresponsive boat controls, lacklustre and repetitive sound effects and even sound design for set piece moments that sound almost entirely empty at times. While annoying, many of these things can be overlooked as not only can they be fixed pretty easily (some of which I think have already been improved upon with updates), but also this is a first attempt at a game for the studio! However the real issues for many will be when it comes to vague but predictable story, annoying, corny and far too present dialogue (Played in either language, although Spanish is still my preference) and lack of variety in enemies (up until the very final chapter). I'm thoroughly looking forward to seeing what Vermila does next, hopefully building off what they've created and learned works here in Crisol. It would be fantastic to see some more innovation on their systems rather than simply more imitation, which has served as a good jumping off point for them, but can be found elsewhere and done better in more than a few cases. To see their own spin on more of this genre would truly be a gift, and one I'd gladly wait for.
好玩,暗黑奇幻版本的生化危机,解密有点小复杂,地图设计的非常有“魂”的感觉
One of best games I have ever played I loved its creativity, using blood as ammo, infinitive ammo in blood rain, consuming animals as recourses and unlike other horror games enemies aren't just zombies, they are statues... It was so inspiring. I really wonder why this game failed, this shows how much uncertainty there is in game development.
This game has a ton of gorgeous visuals, it reminds me a ton of RE4 in terms of gameplay. The health as ammo system works VERY well in my opinion and helps create a very interesting use of the environment and combat. I look forward to more of Crisol and hope a second one that continues the story! For sure recommended for RE fans!
JUEGAZO!!!!
Ahí había talento a reventar. Ojalá volváis o podáis continuar vuestras carreras. Grandes!
