nice scary game with disturbing story. the puzzles is aite but there are some that could be more hint to it like the tyler password is short and normally password should be atleast 6 digit. also the game could be better if the hint is shown in option menu and inventory or auto prompt it on top corner from time to time to remind player what they need to do. https://youtu.be/TgmY2fScvb0
very cool game with nice puzzles more of a escape room type game, with a very disturbing story and environment pretty graphics overall a 9/10 game
HARVEST is a first-person psychological horror game that focuses heavily on atmosphere, tension, and environmental storytelling rather than constant action or exaggerated scares. Developed and published by Punx Studios, the game traps players inside a decaying abandoned hospital where a seemingly ordinary maintenance task slowly turns into a terrifying descent into violence, paranoia, and hidden secrets. While the premise may initially sound familiar to horror fans, HARVEST succeeds because of how effectively it creates dread through pacing, sound design, and oppressive environmental detail. The hospital itself is easily the centerpiece of the experience. Every hallway, operating room, storage area, and abandoned office feels carefully designed to create discomfort. Flickering lights, bloodstained corridors, broken medical equipment, and locked rooms scattered throughout the building constantly reinforce the feeling that something terrible happened long before the player arrived. The environment feels grounded enough to remain believable while still carrying the exaggerated darkness and isolation expected from psychological horror. Exploring the facility becomes increasingly tense because the game constantly suggests danger without immediately revealing where it may come from. One of the strongest elements of HARVEST is its environmental storytelling. Rather than relying heavily on cutscenes or long conversations, the game reveals its story gradually through documents, computer files, scattered notes, and visual clues hidden throughout the hospital. Players slowly uncover details about criminal activity, disturbing experiments, and the horrifying events tied to the facility. This fragmented storytelling approach works well because it rewards curiosity and observation. Every locked room or hidden document feels meaningful, encouraging players to pay close attention to their surroundings in order to fully understand the mystery unfolding around them. The pacing deserves particular praise because the game understands how to build fear slowly instead of overwhelming players with nonstop jump scares. Long stretches of quiet exploration create paranoia through uncertainty alone. Simple environmental details such as distant noises, malfunctioning lights, and unsettling silence become increasingly effective as tension builds over time. By the time direct danger finally appears, players are already emotionally exhausted from anticipation. The horror comes less from sudden shocks and more from the constant feeling that the hospital itself is hostile and unpredictable. Combat and survival mechanics exist, though they are intentionally secondary to exploration and atmosphere. Players occasionally encounter dangerous enemies hiding within the building, creating moments where careful movement and resource management become important. Ammunition and supplies are limited enough to maintain tension, forcing players to think carefully before engaging in confrontations. The combat itself is fairly simple mechanically, but it fits the game’s survival horror structure because encounters feel dangerous and uncomfortable rather than empowering. Visually, HARVEST delivers a strong atmospheric presentation despite its indie budget. The lighting design plays a major role in creating fear, with dark hallways and weak emergency lighting constantly obscuring what may be hidden ahead. The environments are detailed enough to feel believable without becoming visually overwhelming. Medical rooms, underground sections, abandoned offices, and maintenance corridors all contribute to the oppressive tone of the experience. The game may not feature cutting-edge graphics, but the environmental design and mood are effective enough to maintain immersion throughout the journey. Sound design is arguably the game’s greatest achievement. Ambient noises constantly create tension even during moments where nothing dangerous is visible. Electrical hums, metallic creaks, distant footsteps, and strange mechanical sounds echo throughout the hospital, making players feel unsafe at nearly all times. The game also uses silence effectively, allowing quiet moments to become deeply uncomfortable because players are always expecting something to happen. The audio work transforms ordinary exploration into a stressful experience filled with paranoia and anticipation. Another strength of HARVEST is how immersive the world feels despite the relatively small scale of the game. The developers clearly prioritized atmosphere and environmental detail over excessive content or unnecessary mechanics. Every section of the hospital feels deliberate, and exploration remains rewarding because there are always more clues, secrets, or disturbing discoveries hidden within the darkness. The focused design helps maintain consistent tension without distracting the player with unnecessary filler. However, the game is not entirely without flaws. The abandoned hospital setting and psychological horror themes are familiar territory within the genre, and some players may find certain story beats predictable. Combat mechanics are also fairly basic compared to larger survival horror games, and enemy encounters occasionally feel less polished than the environmental exploration. Certain sections can become repetitive because much of the gameplay revolves around navigating similar-looking corridors, unlocking doors, and restoring systems throughout the facility. The relatively short runtime may also disappoint players expecting a much larger horror experience. Still, the concise structure helps the pacing remain focused and prevents the atmosphere from overstaying its welcome. Technical roughness appears occasionally as well, with some animations and interactions lacking refinement, though these issues rarely become severe enough to ruin immersion completely. What ultimately makes HARVEST memorable is how committed it is to creating tension through atmosphere rather than spectacle. The game understands that psychological horror often works best when players feel vulnerable, isolated, and uncertain about what may happen next. The hospital becomes more than just a setting; it feels like an active source of fear constantly pressuring the player through sound, darkness, and hidden threats. For fans of indie horror games focused on exploration and psychological tension, HARVEST delivers a dark and immersive experience filled with unsettling environments and slow-building dread. It may not reinvent survival horror completely, but its strong atmosphere, environmental storytelling, and oppressive sound design make it a worthwhile experience for players looking for a focused and genuinely uncomfortable horror adventure.
