I kept getting an error upon launch. I tried re-verifying the files and it didn't appear to do anything to fix it, as I kept getting the same error code. I also just read in other reviews that there is NO mouse and keyboard support? That's a no from me.
Its a fun simple $20 soulslike game with a decent amount of play time but, it suffers from UI/UX issues. The UI doesnt do a good job of informing you of the game core progression mechanics. So I recommend watching some guide to help explain the gearing and item drop mechanics. Maybe after some patches the game's UI can be more polished but it is what it is as of now. Otherwise its a pretty fun and safe pickup for its price.

Janky camera, unable to see bosses properly in boss fights??? Some attacks don't do damage?? May come back later if I hear it's improved. Going to need a good few updates though, refunded :(
Cannot reccomend this game in its current state. Combat is very clunky and unresponsive. The camera has a mind of its own. Co-op is buggy. Will revisit after a few patches.
theconcept is good but the movements is ♥♥♥♥
Crimson Moon isn’t perfect, but for $20 this game gives you a hell of a lot more than people are giving it credit for. You’re getting UE5 visuals, challenging combat, strong roguelike progression, and a gameplay loop that gives it more replayability than plenty of AAA games charging $60–$70. What really makes it stand out is the way it mixes Soulslike combat with roguelike progression. It actually feels like the developers were trying to build something different instead of copying the same formula we’ve seen a hundred times. Does it have problems? Absolutely. The camera can freak out when certain enemies lunge at you, the combat can feel clunky in spots, and I’ve had a couple of black screens around the stairs near the merchant. Those issues are real and they should be fixed. But none of that changed the fact that I keep playing. That’s the biggest thing for me. A game can be technically polished and still be boring as hell. Crimson Moon has rough edges, but it’s actually fun, and the progression makes you want to keep coming back for another run. This is an indie game being sold for twenty bucks, not a $70 AAA release with a massive budget behind it. Criticize the bugs, absolutely, but acting like the entire game is trash because it needs some patches is ridiculous. Its 20 bucks!! The foundation here is genuinely good. Give the developers time to clean up the camera, combat and technical issues, because there’s something worth supporting underneath the rough edges.
terrible combat
This game is actually really good for the $20. It feels like if dark souls was made in 2026, and i hope fromsoftware makes titles with more reason to replay like this game. This game is shorter than a souls game cus it comes without all the cheap ass deaths. Hope the devs keep cooking
