About
Milon the Tempest, is a witch-hunter on a mission to take down a conspiracy of wizards. As the Left Hand of the King, he is responsible for doing the work that Knights and Emissaries of the King cannot be associated with.
He is leading the Crimson Capes, a guild of witch-hunters taking on missions throughout the kingdom of Amvros. During the events of the story you will discover that there are more sinister powers at play and you will come to understand the true meaning of power.
You can take control of any hero you want, at all times. Discover each unique fighting style and skill tree. Join in the asymmetrical multiplayer and hunt in online co-op with other Capes, or invade a hunt as a Deathblade.
Fight using moves and guards based on realistic fighting techniques. Perform feints, thrusts, cuts and spinning moves to open up your enemies for a fatal hit.
Each hero has magical abilities to compliment their fighting style. You can harness the winds and command thunder, raise flames or call upon darkness to engulf you. As you gain more experience you can expand on your physical and magical skills.
Take the heads of your opponents, bring them down to their knees for a finishing blow, or spill their insides out. Deliver the Law of the King and make an example out of your enemies.
Raid old ruins and magic towers, climb down dark caverns and explore mystical forests. Magical artifacts are waiting to be discovered in every corner of the world, which you can explore at your own pace and in any order you like.

Very nice game, cool pixelart animations. If you like pixel art and RPG-Lite then you will probably like the game.
Crimson Capes bardzo mi się podoba. Zauważam tutaj inspirację gatunkiem souls-like, a dokładnie Sekiro. Gra posiada rozbudowaną mapę i zdolności typowe dla metroidvani.
Jogo bem bacana! Combate do balacobaco.
This is a great follow up to Windmills. The challenge is perfect and the new combat system is rewarding. You can play in a lot of different styles and there's a focus on swordplay over stat upgrades. An excellent game that doesn't overstay its welcome.
If you are into souls like games i would 100% reccomend the game to everyone. From Unique artstyle and combat this game is a true masterpiece that blends both,
It's a 2D dark souls with a combo system and a very satisfying parry system
Crimson Capes is euro jank with art and animation that looks like it came from 90's websites. The characters are look liked they were rotoscoped like original mortal kombat and didn't feel out of place. I kept playing because I was just curious to see what the next area and bosses were going to be. Most of the bosses sucked if I'm being honest, but I couldn't put it down and I don't know why? You can play as one of 4 guys with different magic abilities like thunder ground pound, become invisible, or set enemies on fire. The items and gear you get is at a pace that is insanely fast and I couldn't even use them all. I didn't like how it ended with a cliffhanger. The other thing I didn't like is how fighting more than one enemy is terrible, you have no opening and their attacks layer over each other in a way that you will die 100% of the time. They actually put co-op and invasions just like the big games, only problem is nobody is playing the game. So don't expect to engage in the online stuff. The manual helps you if you don't know what or where to go. A huge negative of souls-like negated :) The combat system is honestly why it's so good. You have stamina that prevents enemies from getting parried, so you need to drain it, by doing some form of light attack like kick or pommel strike so you can go in for swing. You can chain light or heavy attacks when timed right, you can feint attack and so can enemies. If you mess up a parry or don't time your attack either will be punished. Animation and timing of your attacks is super important Can't wait to see what they cook next as it seems each game has been getting better and learning.
*Comments for the devs*
I would say you the combat down, just make the animations line up for bosses so it's easier to read, maybe put a stamina bar for them so you know when your parry will stun them. Bosses can get stuck in the corner and won't move if you keep wailing, this makes it hard to read if they don't move back towards the center. The text animation is terrible and hurts my eyes. Just put it all at once, no need to have it scroll like how it is now. Also make it easier to know you can swap characters when it first happens, I thought I was stuck with the new character until I finished the level. I would say keep the basic moveset upgrades constant between them. It felt bad to have to upgrade them for each character. This didn't encourage me to try out the others and just upgrade the first guy Loved the crazy amount of gear and items. Like the one that increases damage but poisons you, and the ring that prevents poison damage. More of this type of stuff, not many people do this well and it was fun to see what new item a boss would drop. The parry is great, but I feel it's too easy to pull off. It needs more risk as the payoff is already so great.
Final question
Why did you end the game on a cliffhanger like that. Did you run out of budget?
This game is just straight up gameplay. Which is good because it has a solid combat system. It is a little bit short, but for the price point seems reasonable.
Not as maze-like as a lot of metroidvania games are. Amazing visuals and great gameplay. The oldschool manual is really cool too.
Beautiful and serious game.
You can tame a wolf and befriend it.
