good game, but there is ZERO explanation of any mechanic whatsoever. That needs fixing before I can properly recommend this.
In the climactic, iconic scene of the 1995 thriller Se7en, Brad Pitt’s character, Detective Mills, frantically shouts "What's in the box?" repeatedly upon realizing the killer (John Doe) has murdered his wife, Tracy (Gwyneth Paltrow), and sent her severed head as a "souvenir".
Well enough developed game. Good idler/clicker. Its a pretty active game. Honestly, not really worth the $7 price tag. More like 3-5. Theres not really all that much to the game.
Love love love love! Fun little incremental clicker that's good to play while you're watching a TV show or something. You don't have to pay too much attention to it, but it's nice to, because there was clearly a lot of love put into this.
Finished after 3.1 hours. It was pretty fun, though Im not sure if I'd pay nearly 7€ for it again. It was cool at first but then slowed down a lot when there weren't any new things to discover or do. Overall its fine if you're into these kinds of games.
I loaded this up on stream thinking I'd play for an hour. Four hours later, it was 2am and I'd finished the game. Really enjoyed my time with this one. It's cosy, relaxing, and surprisingly satisfying to play. The audio is fantastic and makes even the simple actions feel rewarding. If you're looking for something to help you switch off and unwind after a long day, I'd definitely recommend giving this a try.
Honestly, if you like your idles to help with "insane numbers" itch, skip this. It's cute, but it's systems are shallow and unbalanced. Doesn't give the satisfactions some other idles do.
This review would be in the middle if Steam allowed it. As is, I do recommend. The game was fun, short, but also had potential to be played much longer if you wanted. It has anything an incremental should have. The idea is cute, and opening boxes to unpack stuff is fun. Though I don't get how the bubbles tie in thematically. But it desperately needs a QoL pass; or two, or three. There is zero guidance on what anything is, or what it does. As an example; I kept getting SP points, but couldn't find anything to spend them on for a while. Then found I needed a bunch more, but it wasn't until I was half way through the game that I figured out where they were coming from. The game is filled with stuff like that. It's almost entirely that.. You can figure it out, but it should be intuitive. Top shelves give money per second, and bottom shelves give xp per second btw. Also, the synthesizer was an utter waste of resources, even end game. It can easily be beaten in about five hours.
Short and sweet. Progression system felt pretty solid and there is definitely more to play after you get all of the achievements.
