This is now more in depth stats game and game play with smooth enogh , This is now a game with batting score can be reach 300 + as well as AI can chase if you have not manage the team proper , You need to tacts right decision at right moment as which bowler can bowl at which moment of game. although not played Last 2 version 2015 and 2016 much more , but 2017 looks a great deal.
This is going to be the last Cricket Captain game I'm going to buy. It's also the first I've had to return. It's sad, really sad. But for the last few years, these games have been unplayable, overpriced, and the way that Childish Things have handled the selling and development of the games has been borderline unethical. CC2017 is no different - literally - to the volumes before it, it is exactly the same game with exactly the same issues as the last four volumes at least. To charge so much for what amounts to little more than an update to 2013 is appalling and the company's refusal to listen to its fans, who want nothing more than to see this series regain some sense of quality, is just stupid. Some specific issues: quantity rather than quality in expanding the competition lists rather than looking into improving the game as a whole; a bias towards England and the game's markets that see smaller teams suffer in quality and England, Australia, and India incredibly overpowered; poor research, very little about the players is correct and the rating system seems to be very limited, the whole database seems based only on averages, there's no depth; the price, seriously, £19.99 until the next volume comes out is ridiculous; broken one-day mechanics, T20 is unplayable and the aggression system is deeply flawed; terrible graphics that the creators focus on too much (few people really watch them); terrible mechanics that see the AI pick their teams in wacky ways; weird algorithms that sees teams consistently score more than they should and take more wickets than they should in certain situations; a difficulty system that makes little sense; very ugly presentation - this series needs a graphic designer. These games have no longevity thanks to the incredibly limiting scenarios (which could be solved by taking a look at other management games and how they handle hiring, firing, and transfers) which makes the price-point even more unbelievable. There are so many amazing suggestions on forums and Facebook for this game, where the developers engage, but they seem more interested in a cash-cow with which they can dupe their fans into buying a glorified database update. What's more, you should really be able to succeed with any team eventually - which would be a subtler and more interesting way to handle difficulty - but as it stands, only certain teams will see success in the game. It's sad, very sad, becasue this game could be so much more. If they developers took a year or two out to really revolutionise the game, engaged some of the more dedicated fans for suggestions, and actually started to care about the game and its fans, then it could be a great game. The fans wouldn't even mind, we want to see this series get better. I, for one, would have happily waited until 2018 for a new version, or even given up some of my time as a designer and fan to help Childish Things. So what's the problem? A lack of competition. Cricket Coach has gone down and there are no other management games like this, so there's nothing putting economic pressure on the developers, which in turn has allowed them to develop this lazy, apathetic attitude towards their game and their fans. Maybe one day they'll get their act together, but I don't think I'll end up seeing it. After thirteen years on this series, I'm not sure I can handle it anymore.
It's a good game. Always has been. The only new things in this version though are a few new leagues and updated squad lists. Same story every year. Considering that the mobile version of exactly the same game is less than a third of the price and is exactly the same, this is a big rip-off. If you're new to this franchise, get an old version for your PC or better still, just get the mobile version. It's a good game but this version is a rip-off.
It's good to see the guys are still working on creating a new Cricket Captain each year. I used to play it back in the old days when it was called ICC, and had some great moments both online and in my own private saves. This year I'm going to give it a go on YouTube so be a good test of the game but from what I've experienced so far it's a good playing experience.
As a huge cricket fan, I always look for good cricket games. I've bought the last 3 Cricket Captains. Unfortunely, it's not good enough from the developer. The only main difference each year is player statistics and more leagues to play with. Besides that, there isn't much going for the game. However, this game does have potential, the developer needs to realise that they can take this game far. But every year it's the same and it's frustrating. This game is a coach management game, and there isn't much to customise or manage. There should be more, more in-depth for the player. Batting should be a lot more complicated, bat differently, rather than just changing how aggressive they are. As well with bowling. This game needs more depth, training should be a massive factor but doesn't seem to be.
Now this is an early review hours wise as you can see only 1 hour. But i know more about this game than my playing time would suggest due to following the game since realease and consuming many hours worth of Cricket captain on youtube. The Major problems people have with this game are 1) 'It's the same as 2013,14 ect.' I played 2013 and ofcourse they are similar as it is the same series and concept but they have overhauled many things since 2013. Meaning if you are a fan of previous cricket captains you NEED to buy this unless you own 2016 (but i would still reccomend it) 2) 'The engine looks bad' Compared to other say FM the giants of sports management. It holds up decently, yes FM looks better but consider FM's budget compared to CC. The game for what it is looks completley fine. 3) My best batsman will just go out for less than 10' I have seen this on several forums. This is the least valid complaint around in real international cricket plently of Elite batsmen get bowled out early or for low totals. Now for my complaints. 1) I really love the All Time greats mode, but i wish their was a mode were i could use an All time Team against a friend online or against a current team like Oman to try and bat up a rediculous number. 2) Another wish would be able to play with a domestic side such as Somerset a forgeign domestic side like Bangalore. 3) The lack of a customisable database hurts the game I would love one so i could put an in Prime Trescothic, Ramprakash, Trott and Root all in one T20 Blast. A final wish would be the ability to switch jobs, e.g. start at a county team and work my way up to an IPL side. Overall considering it's still an early build i give this game a 7/10.
Terrible game, really is a terrible game. So far have played 10 matches and have lost every single one of them. And 3 of those 10 matches all my batters was out for LBW.....really?? all 10 of them players??
I've put a few hours into the new version and i'm enjoying it. Very good historical series and good choice of series. Very happy that the CPL has been put into the game. Works well and good to see the best cricket game on the market back for another year.
TERRIBLE GAME!! having a difficult level of easy and then play the game that is so far out of wack! how can Bangldash get 350 runs against Aus when they have the best bowling stat???? on top of that! this is such a basis game! i cant not for the life of me get more then 150 runs against England yet when they bat, they get 370!! WTF!!! i eventually get through the one dayers! (didnt even win a game ) and then get smashed by Bangldash AGAIN! lost series 2-0! they got 600 plus on the first innings! ♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!!! England are apparently the best team in the world ( which clearly they are not even close ) lol. yet India and South Africa are not even good judging by the stats! This game needs a complete overhaul and a person who actually understands cricket and that isnt a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ POMMY!! omg, spent soo much time trying out different levels, field settings and even ball by ball for a few overs.. This game is terrible for those who like Management games..the stats are so far out, the gameplay is boring, there is no adjustments in settings, no sliders NOTHING!! its just cricket! literally a good thing but in terms of gaming, terrible! Looking for a fun game, this game is not fun! graphics have no changed at all! literally copy and paste from 2016 with just some names added! oh, and HOW THE ♥♥♥♥ IS STEVE SMITH FORM 1 STAR OUT OF 5?? THE GUY HAS BEEN THE BEST BATSMAN IN THE WORLD FOR 3 straight years!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥ POMS!!!
I really love this game, so addictive, i love how you can play with real teams and players, so clear, love the videos of the deliveries. highly recommend this game if you love cricket. Definitley worth the certainly reasonable price. Lancashire all the way!!!
