挺好玩的
The game is fine? Not much build variety. You can essentially just pick the same choices each run once you find something that works for your playstyle.
总在小地方恶心你,不建议玩。
while at first i truely enjoyed the fresh ideas and interesting take of making crafters your hero, that is about the only thing this game has going for it. while all the crafters are unique and have their own skills and abilities you will find yourself making the same 1-2 builds with them every time and with the fact that the game has you run the same box map in diffrent colors 100 times with the same enemies repeat in diffrent colors as well it is a slog to say the least. town building is incredibly grindy and alot of upgrades just feel like a waste of time and resources to get, the gathering abilities that you unlock in town are useless until later in the game because you either unlock it after you are already finished with an area or it takes so long to tier it up that it doesnt do anything for you, what is the point of getting 300 wood per run when you can get a couple thousand from running a level on malignant difficulty? while it does seem to be a decent time sink its got alot to be desired both in the town aspect as well as in combat, despite being a bullet hell type game the projectiles and ground circles can overlap and override each other so you cant see anything going on around you and take damage from unknown sources. overall i would give it a 6/10 despite my complaints, if you like extreme grinds and rougelike gameplay its not bad it just feels unfinished. add to that random bugs and honestly i cant really recommend it as it is now. TLDR its an interesting idea with poor implementation. the foundation is there and you can get your moneys worth but its got more grind than a korean mmo.
Didn't expect much going in but this is a great game with lots to do. Its perfect for steam deck.
TL;DR
Crafty Survivors is in my opinion one of the best games that came out of the "bullet heaven" hype, it offers a lot of challenge and various progression systems that keep you engaged, every character plays in a genuinely unique way. If you're looking to get a lot of bang for your buck and find other "bullet heavens" too easy, this one may be for you.
Controls
Crafty Survivors allows a spectrum from full autopilot to full manual control within the battles, which allows you to adjust to your preferences or even change it on the fly depending on your build. Some characters definitely work better on full manual piloting, among those Axel specifically is a little finicky to use as the charged manual attacks will automatically release on level up regardless of charge status, mildly annoying when you are trying to do precise strikes. I definitely prefer playing this with a controller. There is a minor display issue (as of time of posting) where the game will show me PlayStation button layouts before switching the symbols back to the gamepad layout. Seems to happen when I alt-tab or at the start of a new run. This doesn't affect gameplay but it has been a thing for as long as I remember playing.
Gameplay
During a run, you defeat a certain amount of enemies, then finish the level by defeating a boss. Level Ups are unique to each individual character, and each character has at least 2-3 discrete builds you can spec into. While there is not too much variety in the builds, each character plays so different that you have a lot more variety than you'd expect. Between the runs, you use accumulated resources to improve your stats and unlock new features. The scaling is small early on but becomes much more significant the further you progress. The big milestone upgrades like Max HP Up and the Skill Tree Unlocks feel very rewarding to get into, a merchant allows you trading money for resources at a balanced exchange rate. The progression systems share the same resources, so you either have to make choices or grind quite a bit to max it out. Some people love it, some hate it.
Art and Music
I like the pixel art, the environmental themes, the character variety, the music is pleasant and doesn't get annoying even after long sessions. I have nothing negative to say but also not a lot more than that. I like the little bits of lore with the mail and newspapers, it's very minimal but adds some personality to everything, as well as hints for secrets you can unlock.
Nice evolution on this genre of game. Characters feel unique and diverse while also offering some classic options from other games like this one. The town is well executed too! Combines good rouge lite elements with vampire survivor style game play showing up in the auto-casting/level up system. Highly recommend giving this game a shot!
TDLR: I have played a lot of Survivor games but wow, this one really sticks out. I havent even unlocked every character and the first 6 already play so different to each other. I have never seen a survivor game with so much variety and balanced characters before and I'm in love. To show how much there is in this game I have to break this apart. Map: - There are multiple Areas. Each area consists of many small maps. If you beat one map you can play on the next map - Some maps have a hidden 2nd exit that you can open with one of the characters (ae: Lumberjack to cut down trees, Gardener to grow a bridge, etc) - From area to area there are different resources to collect and special enemies to kill - Some hidden paths lead to chests or a challenge map for an important item - The more you progress through the maps, the harder the enemies become with new enemies, attack patterns and abilities Village: - At the start the village is burned down and you can rebuild buildings to unlock characters and upgrade them to get stat upgrades or unlock and features that offer a lot of variety. - While the first buildings can be rebuilt and upgraded with early resources, the later buildings require resources from other areas. But don't worry, you dont need to grind maps as you get more than enough resources. - This game has lore that is revealed from time to time via notes or letters that characters write or that can be found. All secret paths of the map are also told you via some letters. Characters: - The Characters are where the game really shines. I have unlocked the first 6 and they are already as unique as they could be. Completely different playstyles like I have never seen. - Most Characters have an attack, a special ability, a few passives and 6-10 abilities, from which they can choose 5. - Each attack, ability and special have 6 upgrades, that are mostly real upgrades to the ability and not just stat increases. They are completely thought through and really balanced. - Some secret abilities can be unlocked when you get 2 abilites. The game shows you which can unlock these. - This game has a Quality of Life feature for pretty much everything
Good game
Crafty Survivors has been a delight to play from the very beginning. The gameplay stays engaging, the visuals are vibrant, and the learning curve feels smooth and rewarding. I’ve been playing since the pre-release, and aside from one issue where my save disappeared after launch, everything else has been consistently solid. If you enjoy this genre, it’s an easy recommendation. Fun, accessible, and visually charming well worth the time.
