It's basically an idle game, but everything requires a manual input anyway.
Actual playtime is 17 hours, for some reason it took a long time to idle the Steam cards. Anyway, I have a love/hate relationship with this game. I love, love, love the concept. The pixel art is amazing. The humor is very witty. There's a lot to like here. But... there's a lot to dislike, too. This game can't decide if it wants to be an idle game or one that requires active engagement. It just needs small pushes to go either way but it's refusal to commit is what hurts it most. If it had automation for crafting it would be an excellent idle game, but it doesn't. You have to interrupt what you're doing to craft the gear to use or sell because your heroes are the ones who do the crafting. If the game wanted to be an active incremental game, then they should shorten the questing cycles by about half the time it takes because as it stands the cycle is too long to hold your attention, even with three parties. So as it stands the gameplay loop is too short to allow you to do other things while doing it but too long to hold your attention while you're not doing anything. That's where it stands. The game can be fixed, it just needs to commit in a direction. If I'd paid $13 USD for it I would have been very, very annoyed. I got it in a bundle though, and currently it's $2.59 USD and that's a price I can't get mad at. That's the only reason I'm recommending it. Also, play it in a window, because the game minimizes if you click elsewhere. Anyway as it stands, 7/10. Definitely above average in the things it does well, but the overall product holds these things back. edit: Oh lord I completely forgot to talk about the swag part. It's pointless. Fashion competitions are completely mitigated by the fact that there's a sidequest later in the game that maxes out your influence. Every guide I saw on this game said some form of "only do competitions if you have a quest for it" and they're correct. They add nothing to the gameplay. If your armor doesn't add Agility, Stamina, Vampirism, or Money Stealing then you don't need it, period.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

100%-ed it just to be done with the game gonna be completely honest, only bothered with the game with cheating in money it is a botomless pit of grind without, with a lack of the kind of quality of life features that you would expect. The game doesn't really have a story ending? That or I broke the game sequencing catastrophically by restarting the game so that I could turn up the audio before the cutscene play so I can hear it. Anyway, game had a lot of bones of something great and enjoyable. But it turns out rather shallow once you progress a bit? And perhaps the grind is what the game uses to obfuscate that? I wish I could recommend it as a long and grindy ?mmorpg-like-feeling? equipment stat optimization and character building game? but it just lacks the QOL, and perhaps a bit more build clarity/deph, to make that function. Vaguely fun, but can't really in right mind recommend it At least it's not too difficult to 100%? if you're willing to hack in money and do a little grinding? Probably the best way to experience the game, but very exposes how little content there it?
Game is lackluster repetitive, non idler and automation, LEVELING up just through gold is dumb af. Game could have so much potential. I can't recomend.
You level up your heroes, send them on outings and wait for them to bring you stuff. It's fine for what it is. An Ok time waster for like a day or two.
Tolles Spiel für zwischendurch mit viel Humor!Ich habe mittlerweile ca. 56 Stunden in Swag and Sorcery gesteckt. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Great casual game with a lot of humor!I have put about 56 hours into Swag and Sorcery. As a casual game, it is really a lot of fun and perfect for a quick session here and there. The mix of village management and gearing up your heroes is super motivating. I especially love the humorous tone: the story completely pokes fun at the fantasy genre with a vain king, fashion shows for warriors, and a sarcastic talking cat! It might be a bit too repetitive for full price, but casual players should definitely pick it up on sale! However, the game does not feel fully developed. It feels more like an Alpha version or a version 0.9. Also, the crafting system is heavily built around a gacha mechanic, where you rely strictly on pure luck.My advice to everyone just starting out: be prepared for a massive grind. Upgrade your buildings and train your characters for the harder zones. Grinding and improving your crafters' stats is the only way to get the best loot!
Game is very grindy, and requires your constant attention. You send your guys on expeditions, but there's no way to automatically resend them once they finish their expedition. You have to do it manually, which makes the game tedious to play.
