CoreOptimizer

A friend recommended me this Optimizer for FPS games after he had some success with it. He gifted it to me and I checked it out. So far it's not looking great. It doesn't detect any of my steam games - Which isn't a big problem only a bit of a chore. You can still add games separately one-by-one through the "Other" tab. The problem is that after adding a game through the "Other" tab and clicking "Launch" (most of the time) the game launches and it drops connection to the internet and any configs are reset to default. Launching the game normally through steam is still working (obviously without the optimizer) For some games it freezes the PC completely and forces a reboot. Based on my friends feedback when troubleshooting this issue - the program is running great for him, but for me not at all. I suspect it's because I have non-default installation paths. Either way it's not working "out of the box" and a day later after posting about it on the steam forums I still haven't got any feedback from the dev - That's a no for me sadly (based on earlier forum posts he's been very "on the ball" and ready to help with support issues though - So he might just be busy right now). It has potential to be great for some people but doesn't work at all for others. In short - Test it. If it works: Great! If not, refund. Edit: It's now been a week and I still have no reponse from the developer. Looks like it's a dead program that's not getting bugfixes any more. Edit2: Over a year has passed since I made this review. Gave it another shot. Still buggy. Still no reply from the dev.

Slightly reduces cpu usage and increase fps but doesn't work with every game. Great support from dev.
