Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 17.29/day in the week to Aug 25 → 48.57/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
Control is a fantastic game, albeit slightly unbaked in some areas. My only major complaints are a anti climactic ending and progression and upgrade system that feels clunky at times. Besides that Control is a game that feels wholly unique. It takes nuggets of souls design and metroidvania. but is a mostly orignal feeling superpowered third person shooter, set in a backrooms esque building. While I quote enjoyed the narrative and art direction tho I feel neither quite hit the height of what the premise is capable of. The combat is the real show stealer fast, challenging and just enough variety without feeling overwhelming. I do highly reccomend playing through with this mod though: https://www.nexusmods.com/control/mods/47 The vanilla game only lets you have two (out of 6) guns equipped at any given time. Now you might think this is for balancing reasons. However that is not the case as you can swap the weapons out mid combat encounter from the pause menu. It's not a concession made for console/controller players either as by default both left and right d-pad are unbound. They could've easily let you cycle through weapons or had one bring up a quick select wheel. I really cannot fathom why they limited in this wat but the combat feels WAY better when you can switch though all availible weapons at with a button press so I very much reccomend installing this mod.

starts a little slow and is very confusing but its good.
This was an amazing game to play after Alan Wake 1. I love how trippy it was, how amazing the gunplay was and just how bonkers remedy managed to make this game. 10/10 amazing!
6.8/10

Control
<Best of TPS/shooty-shooty-bang> +++++ Destructible Environments: Northlight engine is exquisite. Vast amount of physics objects, destructible foundations, dynamic light sources is staggering. And with the level design focusing on it, this is easily the best part of the game. All with good performance on PC. Couldn't say the same if they've used Unreal. ++++ The Oldest House: The most important character in the game is the environment itself. The game goes hard on its level design, being inspired by brutalism and surrealism without sacrificing believability. Usually non-eucladian structures like these are used as a excuse to not care about consistency yet in this metroidvania-like game, the map and levels stuck in my head from start to finish. +++ Combat and Difficulty: The game was a power fantasy (it's not hard) without being boring throughout the playthrough. I especially liked the "expeditions", testing the combat's limit. This couldn't happen with a healthy dose of different enemy types. All of the strengths of this game hinges on gameplay and abilities being fun, and it is. + <THE BOARD>: <It is obligatory/cool as ♥♥♥♥>. - Too much lore: Most of the notes you'll find are about the minutiae of Federal Bureau of Control. There are some fun ideas in there but when they find a paranormal activity, they make it a point to at least have 3 different pages about it with the same information. If you like SCP, you'll feel right at home. I just wish they edited down to like -30%. -- Slow Plot: The entire plot can be summed as the protaganist coming the terms with being the director. But that's it, i can't tell you what are the turning points in her journey because nothing that happens in the game connects as a larger story. We also had a story about our origin which doesn't go anywhere. -- Jesse and most of the cast: Related to the plot, i didn't connect with any of the characters in the story, human ones anyway. Jesse feels like a nothing character and the game focusing so much on story so this hurts extra bad. This suprises me because every character in max payne was memorable and written in a manner Remedy couldn't replicate since. --- AAA design staples: This game didn't need filler sidequests, pointless crafting, timed missions or item rankings. But it does have them. Whenever i come across these it feels like designers are treating me like a pavlovian dog. Sucks out the joy. Other Thoughts *DLCs are not that good. If the main game is a 6, they are 5. *Try using dx11 if you are having pop up issues like i did. It fixed for me.
