About

Utilize paint-based mechanics to experience a constant state of flow—dive into the ground and walls, slice through the air and enemies!
Become stronger by unlocking new techniques with your brush that aid you in defeating threatening foes, overcoming platform challenges, solving complex puzzles, and advancing your progress.

Explore Constance's non-linear interconnected world and discover countless secrets, abilities, upgrades, characters, side quests, and inspiring moments.
Using your brush techniques will corrupt your Paint. If you become fully corrupted, negative effects await you, so be wary!
Use inspirations that you find on your travels to sketch in your journal. Your sketches enhance and customize Constance's capabilities. By gathering materials, you can upgrade your sketches into even stronger artworks.
Upon death, choose how to continue your journey. Do you want to persevere through the challenge, at a price? Or do you return to a safe point and explore other unbeaten paths?
The inner world is strongly connected to Constance's mental health journey, with each colorful biome and its unique set of enemies and characters representing different aspects of her psyche and personal history.
Experience playable flashbacks about personal struggle, creativity, work-life-balance, and inner purpose. Step into Constance's socks to uncover her past!

If you want to just chill and have fun id definetely recommend it. Im not someone who perfects games but Constance was so enjoyable that before i knew it I had most of the achievements done.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fun approachable metroidvania with a quite unique story in the genre. The gameplay mechanics were really smooth and fun to learn. The game doesn’t overwhelm you to early, but I did miss some objectives and got lost for a while with what to do! Last boss wasn’t as hard as some of the earlier bosses for years. Overall good fun and worth a play.
I really wanted to like this game — I love MVs as a genre in general, and the visual style and themes drew me in from the get-go — but sadly I just ended up finding pretty much everything I tried EXTREMELY frustrating, to the point where it stopped feeling like a fun challenge and just felt like a chore. It may be a skill issue on my part, I don't know, thing is I don't think I could bring myself to finish the game first-hand. Consider that I got around 35-40% in before deciding I couldn't do this anymore, so your mileage may vary. I frankly do not understand many choices taken with how it plays, apart from the feeling that the devs wanted to make them different for the sake of being different. Why can't I attack upwards or downwards without unlocking specific abilities first? Why is the wall jump / slide connected to the dash, and what is up with the button presses required to perform one? Why does the dash say it makes me invulnerable when it's just not true when it comes to some enemies? This is pretty much the extent of abilities I got to before I dropped the game, so I cannot really speak on anything else, but I can say that I overall found neither movement nor combat really enjoyable. The bosses were an incredibly low point, and another big part of why I did not enjoy my brief time with the game. I can understand the intent of making them feel varied and have you use different abilities to deal with them in theory. In practice, the fights I did go against felt like a frustrating mess of random bs thrown at you while you wait way too long for a window to open up, occasionally with barely discernible patterns and little to no windows to actually get a hit in — when you aren't against one of the bosses that you straight up cannot hit unless they are staggered in some way. The damage they dealt and the lack of possibilities to heal during them also didn't sit quite right with me, but that may once again be a me thing. In the very beginning of the game I thought the paint mechanic wasn't good either, but I've since played (and really enjoyed) games with similar "stamina" mechanics so I won't consider this a detracted point. I'm just sort of... neutral about it. I don't love being too negative, so I wanted to highlight just how GOOD the artistic direction is, in both the artwork and the music. The game is gorgeous to look at and a delight to listen to, the character designs are both really pretty and very distinguishable from one another, and as an enjoyer of the arts (and an artist myself!) I truly did appreciate the references and the integrations made of them in the world. Overall, Constance wasn't for me, which happens. It's just a shame because I could really see the potential
Visuals, Storytelling, Platforming, Combat, this game does it all so well, I loved Metroid and HK and Silksong, so I thought I would give this a try, This was a lot of fun, like other Metroidvanias, it does its own thing, really well made!
