I think the game definitely has potential, no question about that, but in its current state, I personally feel that it is not very well balanced. One of my biggest points of criticism is the balancing. Of course, you could say that the Axis forces are stronger ore the Allies are stronger. But overall, many things feel unbalanced — and in both directions. There are units, strategies, or battlegroups that, depending on the game mode, feel either far too strong or almost useless. On top of that, patches after new DLC releases take far too long. When a new DLC comes out, the battlegroups included in it are often either much stronger than the existing content or barely viable at all. This also depends on the game mode, such as 1v1, 2v2, or larger team games, but it simply takes too long until these issues are adjusted through updates. This has a noticeable negative impact on the fun of the game. Another problem is that you still cannot rejoin an ongoing match. I do not remember exactly whether this was ever possible before or whether it was removed for certain reasons, but in the current state, it is very frustrating. On top of that, it feels like there are hardly any penalties for players who leave a match early. As a result, people often leave as soon as things start going badly for them — even if the match could still be won. In my experience, the servers are also not very reliable. There are regular lags, or players sometimes cannot connect properly in the first place. If you get kicked from a match or cannot join one, you then have to spend several minutes searching for a new game. That is especially annoying because it wastes unnecessary time. The search times are probably also affected by the fact that slightly more players seem to prefer playing the Axis forces rather than the Allies. This might only be a small point, but for me personally it is still important because it can noticeably affect matchmaking. On a positive note, the map selection is slowly but steadily growing. However, it often still feels like you end up playing the same maps over and over again. More variety in matchmaking or in the map rotation would be very welcome. Overall, I definitely see potential in the game, but it urgently needs faster balancing, quicker reactions after DLC releases, more stable servers, and better solutions against players leaving matches early.

Company of Heroes, a franchise that shouldn't require any introduction. The first game is nearly universally praised as a classic masterpiece. the second installment had a subpar launch and a few rough spots throughout its lifespan, topped off with some questionable DLC policy. But after some tuning and polish became nearly as loved as the original. So where does that leave the 3rd entry? In this review I'll mainly be comparing this game to the previous entries since I have over 400hrs in COH2 and over 100hrs in COH1. COH3 is a WW2 real time strategy game, the content is split into a dynamic campaign set during the US invasion of fascist Italy, the linear German Afrika Korps campaign, and the multiplayer co-op/pvp. This review will focus on the multiplayer since that is where I spend most of my time. Pros: - All 4 factions come with the base game for the first time in COH history - The battlegroup system is a welcome improvement over the commander 'doctrine' system of COH2, a lot of the commanders in COH2 were near indistinguishable and were bloated with a lot of junk abilities. Excluding the DLC factions from COH2, the commander choice just really didn't feel impactful. Battlegroups on the other hand are all pretty unique from each other and come with interesting unique units and playstyles. - Quality of life improvements, ranging from auto reinforce to auto vaulting, to base building not requiring an engineer squad, and others. A good chunk of tedium has been removed from the gameplay. - Variety, while it's a shame we no longer have the Soviets. Seeing Italian, French, Australian, Canadian, and Polish units is really cool. While many players are angry that we didn't get more factions for the more minor nations, I'm still happy to see more countries represented even if it's just through some battlegroup units. - Lastly, I am happy to see consistent updates still being sent out, especially with this game's controversial launch and mixed reception. Even if I don't adore everything about this game, I am happy to see work still being done on it. Neutral: - Graphics, I'd say are a sidegrade from COH2. The fidelity is good but some of the style is off. Some of the units especially have ugly looking uniforms compared to the previous games (unless you pay for the cosmetic skins), and the maps lack the apocalyptic war torn atmosphere that you get from COH2 after a hour long annihilation comp stomp. - Cosmetics, while some of the skin packs do look good they can be really expensive. Some of them nearing the $25 mark which is really steep for just some unit skins. Thankfully they're just cosmetics so they can be ignored unless you want to support lelic or get some drip for your army. - Balance, which has been a problem in every game in this franchise. I'm not gonna mark this game down though because the fact of the matter is that if every faction was perfectly balanced then they'd all be the exact same and this game would be dirt boring. Over time I'm sure more patches will come out that gets us somewhere similar to the end state of COH2, which ended up being received fairly well. Cons: - Audio, while serviceable is a downgrade from COH1 and 2. explosions and weapons just lack a bit of 'oomph'. This results in battles feeling a bit less intense and immersive as the previous games. - DLC policy, the dlc is just too expensive for what you get. this is a near universal complaint so I won't add much more here. One improvement I'd like to see is the ability to purchase battlegroups separate, since I highly doubt everyone plays every single faction equally. - UI design. Why does every modern game have to have such mid UI. The menus in this game are pretty ugly compared to previous entries, and just lack character. Minor complaint though. - No 5th faction is disappointing. Mainly because we got one in COH2, which makes me scratch my head at why it can't be done now. The obvious answer would've been to give us an italian faction, but instead they are units in the German's battlegroups. I know I said earlier that I appreciate we still got some minor country units. Which is still true, but having a 5th faction again would've done wonders for replayability. In summary COH3 is a good game, it still gets a lot of hate due to the terrible launch it had, and some controversial design decisions and policies. My opinion is that if you've never played any COH game then buy COH1/2 first, they're still classics and can be found for cheap. Now if you're a COH vet and are maybe looking for something new then give this a try, it's not perfect but it's still COH and is still fun. Let's hope to see more improvements and content for this game down the line. 7/10

Filled with cheaters currently; you can watch the replays and the enemy players are looking into the fog of war as if they don't have it activated. RELIC DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT, you report and they just wipe their ass with those reports. Its unplayable. Also add griefing players & chinese morons/players that seem to be BOTS. Relic SHOULD do better, could do better. IT's been 12 years Relic; COME-ON.
the best rts in its genre
Ambientação, efeitos sonoros, gráficos e jogabilidade excelentes. Campanhas dinâmicas e intuitivas com narrativas hiper fiéis à história real. Jogo muito bom!
