This standalone experience does not require you to own any previous Company of Heroes titles, making it easy for you to jump straight into the action and have fun, whether you’re a longtime fan or a new player.

Prepare to dig in, build layered defenses, and survive against escalating waves of enemy forces across 12 increasingly difficult rounds, including intimidating bosses and dynamic battlefield events unique to Final Stand.

Featuring a roguelite progression system, players construct a custom battlegroup from the ground up suited to their style of play. After each wave, choose between randomized units or abilities that persist for the duration of the run, ensuring that no two playthroughs feel the same.

Honestly, don't listen to the tryhard naysayers: Yeah, its short. Yeah, it's simple. It's still really fun. Honestly a bit of a breath of fresh air to have an RTS kind of "embrace" the wave based survival modes that so many mods end up making. Is it challenging or super long? No, not really. Even at 3 hours in, I'm about a quarter of the way down each tree. But I'm used to playing games *for the fun of the game*, not some meta progression or sweat. Let's put it this way: Do you like modes like DoW:Soulstorms Unification Survival mode? Yes? Then you'll like this.

TLDR: If you like COH and Roguelites this is a fairly fun casual mode. I would say $30 is a bit much but if you can get it for $20 or so it's probably worth it if you want a casual comp stomp mode to play. Overall a fun mode with some improvements that are needed to really be great. I love roguelites and this does scratch the itch in a COH setting. At the end of the day it is very tower defense/comp stomping mode so if you want something more laid back this is a good option. Coming home from work or just wanting to play something late into the night this is a lot more approachable then PVP so that's where I see myself playing it in the future. The abilities can allow for some fun stuff like Bazooka teams that might as well be autoloading their bazookas in a garrison or having a massive line of extremely durable bunkers while your beefed up Fallschrimjager shred infantry. There are some things that need improvements like it was very clear that relic copy pasted some stuff like Outposts so it uses the same Italian models for all 4 factions or a lot of bugs that need ironing out. Hopefully this is fixed because the foundation of this mode is fun enough. It just needs a couple patches to polish things up. I also hope Relic considers allowing at least 3 players because I would love to play this with a couple buddies but since it's 2 players max it means I'm less inclined to play it because I don't want to tell someone they have to just sit out. Edit: Also realized Steam only records I guess when you use the launcher for this mode specifically. I probably have about 10 hours playing this mode but I launch it through coh3 so it looks like I only have 0.6 which isn't true.
Too few maps. No custom maps possible. max 2 coop players. This had extremely high potential for fellow comp-stomp enjoyers but they missed the mark. This implementation could have been a custom map in coh3 instead. You're limited at the start to what you can build and slowly unlock your faction tree from round to round. feels clunky and awkward. linux users: don't launch coh3:final stand directly, or it launches the game twice. Just launch coh3 and click final stand from the menu. it also crashes when quitting the game, but otherwise has worked flawlessly. This is also why my hours played are so low because it's all in coh3 after figuring it out.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Just get a mod or something for another one.. this is TERRIBLE
should be 5 bucks for this much content
Enjoyed it so far, like the roguelike wave defense mode a lot. If they added 4 player coop and or versus mode where another player(s) controlled/organized the attacking force then I’d recommend to more people.

Refunded due to lack of content, limited appeal and just incomplete. Was expecting way much more for the price. I'd buy this at £5 happily.
Half-baked DLC. Not fun. Gameplay loop involves pausing the game 12 times per round and constantly shifting your forces from one outpost to the next. Just play COH 3 with the Australians, its way more fun defending, plus you get access to all the units
