[h1]Company of Heroes 2 - The British Forces[/h1] [h3]Great Army Expansion that finally gives the British a Place in the CoH Saga[/h3] [h3]Worth trying![/h3] The United Kingdom Forces is one of the finest addition to this game, this army has the most comfortable and solid early game from all factions, in my opinion. It is an army that doesn’t require constructing buildings to tech up and instead can start the game by capturing territory quickly. The British Infantry Sections can hold their ground well against other line infantry such as Volksgrenadiers and Grenadiers, as long as they maintain medium or heavy cover. This unit is very versatile, but like American units, they need several upgrades to keep up with better-equipped infantry units in the late game. As for vehicles, they have an acceptable variety of light and heavy armored forces, which stand out more for their mobility and speed than for their damage, turning them into effective units for hunting slower armored targets or to pursue enemy vehicles that are trying to escape. The British Forces are now a more reliable and much stronger army than in the previous game. They have access to units and vehicles with roles similar to those of other factions at a comparable pace. Now it’s pretty common to see them in multiplayer as a leading army or as support forces for other allies. I’m really satisfied with the changes made to the British. It is a very enjoyable faction to play, and it has a very powerful tech tree that is also fairly simple to use. On the other hand, the number of British Commanders is somewhat limited. However, each of them manages to properly specialize in different units and combat abilities. Some of them even compensate for some of this army’s main weaknesses, such as the lack of artillery rocket launchers or an specialized anti-tank rifle infantry. Unfortunately, half of the commanders are not included with the expansion and have to be purchased separately. Once again, some of the best commanders are only available as paid content, such as the Special Weapons Regiment or the Mobile Assault Regiment. In terms of visual design, the British Forces stand out from other allied factions thanks to the great characterization of their infantry units and their equipment. However, the strongest visual point of this army is the representation of the cruiser-type tanks used by the Commonwealth during World War II. Finally, the maps added on this expansion are mainly city scenarios, which suits this faction well since it relies on heavy cover. Most of these maps are designed for 2v2 and 3v3 matches, making them perfect for multiplayer games.
