I've been playing this game since the 1980s. It's a great game and more people should play it.
I've played every iteration of Empire since the early 1980's to present day. This will always be my favorite game.
I have not played this game for several decades. One of the the first PC games i purchased. Glad to be playing it again.

I want to play Civilization on the maps generated by this game. That's how good this game is.
Enjoy the strategy
I was thrilled to find this game on Steam. It brings back great memories of playing it on a 386 machine. I was able to jump in fairly quickly after getting used to a few new keyboard shortcuts. The same methods of creating patrols, sending out armadas (carriers, subs, destroyers, battleships) and using planes/bombers to uncover new territory are as fresh now as they were when I played the original game. Waypoints and pathing helps when bringing resources to new fronts and changing production types as your territory expands to make sure you have the right mix of units are all part of the fun!
Not just from nostalgia, this is a fun turn based all out war game where the winner has the best supplies and supply lines.
classic strategy game. I first played it on an ASCII terminal. This modern version has much better graphics, but it's still a blast to play. Every game is different, which is something I like. I have a couple of saved settings - one for a smaller world against 2 AI for a shorter game. The second is a larger world against 3 AI players, for a longer game.
An original that still holds up
This is an update of a game I was playing from a 5.25 floppy disc back in 1989. It has ZERO visual appeal, but other than the Sim City series, no computer game has held my interest like EMPIRE DELUXE.
