About
The kingdom of Eireos is rotting from within. A creeping darkness called the Blight devours everything it touches and the one man sworn to stop it, your brother Lance, has vanished without a trace.
You are Lucian. Not a chosen hero. Not a legend. Just a brother who refuses to give up on someone he loves even as the world around him collapses into nightmare.
Colossus is a story-driven action RPG with precision combat, a hand-crafted pixel art world, and choices that leave real scars. The Blight will test you. How you answer is up to you.

Every fight in Colossus is a test of timing, positioning, and adaptability. Parry a blow at the last moment, counter with a fluid combo, dash through an opening, or use the environment itself to turn the tide.
Switch freely between a varied arsenal each weapon changing the rhythm of how you fight. Button-mashing will get you killed. Mastery will set you free.

Explore a Hand-Crafted World: Journey through a beautifully animated pixel art world inspired by classic JRPGs. Discover hidden treasures, solve Zelda-style puzzles, explore ancient ruins, and visit tightly-knit towns spread across four distinct regions of Eireos.

The Blight isn't just an enemy it's a temptation. As the corruption spreads across Eireos, you decide how to respond: fight it, contain it, or leave people to their fate.
But if you're willing to walk a darker path, the Blight itself offers power. Corrupted abilities that can turn the tide of any battle. At a price.
But Beware... Those lost to the Blight are gone forever. Your choices are permanent.

Choose from three distinct classes, each with their own skill trees and specialisations then switch freely between them as your strategy evolves.
Lean into a pure discipline, or forge a hybrid approach that suits your instincts. And if corruption doesn't scare you, the Blight's abilities are waiting brutally effective... but at a cost...

At its core, Colossus is about what we do for the people we love and whether that love is enough. Lance believed in duty above all else. Lucian believes in Lance.
As the truth behind his brother's disappearance unravels, you'll face questions the game doesn't answer for you. Strength won't be enough. Neither will hope.

How far will you go to bring him back?

Reviews
The game is fantastic! The combat is engaging, the visuals are pleasing, and the story is engaging. There are some minor control issues, but forgivable for an early access game. I highly recommend it!
100% recomendado!

Pretty solid game, especially if you're into dark atmospheres and challenging combat. The bosses are genuinely interesting, and the world is actually a joy to explore. I had to start over a couple of times, but it only fueled my drive to push further. Overall, I really enjoyed it and had a great time
The controls are a bit strange, and the puzzles aren't too difficult, but overall, the game is pretty good!
Great for what's there. In the current early access state, there's a few hours of story and another hour or two of grinding and the roguelite minigame if you want to max out your character and give yourself a challenge. With that in mind, what's currently in the game is excellent. It really feels like SNES Zelda exploration and art, with more modern combat. The story is intriguing and engaging and I'll be waiting for more story impatiently until more gets released. What's available currently is fairly polished and bug free, but there are some UI things that could be improved. The in-game menus can be a bit clunky with a controller and it would be nice to have a bit more detail with items and equipment. You also currently can not change settings until you're already in-game, and settings seem to be tied to individual save files vs being for the game in general. There's not a ton to tweak with a game like this so it's not the end of the world, but it would be nice to not have my eardrums blown out for awhile before I'm ready to start playing. All in all, there's not a ton there yet, but what IS there is outstanding. Looking forward to future updates!
Rescuing your little bro, that’s a cool tale. This classic RPG features a really engaging story and a nice combat system. Every fight, from bosses to regular mobs, looks and feels epic. On top of that, the skill tree allows you to craft some huge, very strong builds. This is what a real RPG should be like. No fluff, straight to the point. Plus, the 2D pixel art brings back those sweet, nostalgic childhood gaming vibes.
Bon jeu inde ! La DA pixel art est sympa, les animations sont réussies. Le game design des casses têtes est très cool ! ça me fait replonger en enfance dans les vieux Pokemon, Zelda, Final Fantasy, ......

This is my first Steam game (and review), as I tend to play mostly console games. However, when I found this game originally on Kickstarter, it seemed to have all the things I like: Zelda-inspriation; puzzles; great music; and a nice art style - so I created a steam account, and played this on my son's computer. All in all - I'm in LOVE with this game and VERY excited for future updates! I'm not the best at combat in games, so I was a bit worried about the action combat and parrying emphasis (proably more of a me thing than anything), but I'm happy to say, with the equipment system and leveling - everything seems very manageable so far (the first boss took me a few attempts, but definitely a lot of fun!) There are so many interseting systems at play here - although the game may present itself as a simple top-down adventure - it really is quite ambitious in what it's going for. Action combat, skills and upgrade trees, equipment system, side quests, puzzles, secrets, and probably most unique of all is the 'Purification Quest' system. This initial build only introduces it, with the first of these Quests, but you can already see the direction they're going with it and I'm very happy to say it already feels like a fantastic mechanic, and the feeling of consequence I think adds a lot to the world. It's definitely quite dialogue heavy at the beginning - very reminiscent of old school JRPGs in that respect, but if you are a bit more patient and enjoy that anime-esque/JRPG writing, this is very well written and engaging so far! I am also pleasantly surprised at how polished the game feels thus far, when they announced Early Access, I was a bit worried on how the state of the game would be as i've heard some horror stories with regards to Early Access titles - but I'm pleasantly surprised that I didn't encounter any game breaking bugs yet, and the developers seem very responsive and active on their Discord server. There are some polish features, that I feel would help to fully polish the game: I think the menus (particularly the equipment menu) can be a bit awkward/uninuitive to navigate with controller at times, and sometimes the 'depth' of the character can seem a bit strange (where your character should be 'behind' an object but appears 'on top' of it). Similarly, the Quest Board UI could be a bit better to navigate (a highlight for when a quest is completed would be nice). But these are minor aspects that I am sure they can address over time. I am very excited to continue playing, and eagerly await future updates!! Great job!! Would love to play this on Switch one day, it would be the perfect handheld game!
