Quick review of a short game
Gonna start off with saying that I bought and played this game on a whim while being pretty smashed since I enjoy yuri games in general. But since I've sobered up enough and just finished all routes I thought I'd share my opinion of the game.
Pros

Sprites are okay
Price is okay, I can live with not getting my 5$ back altough I'd refund the game if I could
Game length is okay for the price tag

Cons

Story is servicable at best, certainly not good enough to put as a pro though. There is very little that sets the 2 routes apart except for what happens at the end. The story feels like 95% common route.
Very little variation in music and sometimes the choice of music for the setting really threw me off
No CG gallery
Background CG's aren't that impressive
I've played all endings and there has only been 2 CGs. Game might only be around 5$ but 2 CGs is not enough
As of writing this, the feature to skip read text doesn't function consistently. I had moments where I had to spend a ton of time clicking through text I'd already read because the skip function didn't properly work while at other times it would skip text I hadn't read even though I had the option to skip unread text disabled

In Conclusion
I don't recommend buying this. The game is quite lacking when it comes to setting the routes apart, lacking in music, lacking in illustration and the skip read text function doesn't work properly 100% of the time. As of writing this I'd maybe recommend the game if you can get it for between 1-2$. It's certainly not worth it otherwise.
It's a shame that Amelia isn't a romance option, since she says "wicked good" and that immediately won me over. The two actual romance options are also great, though. Rebecca is a redhead, understands that Lagavulin 16 is the whisky of romance and has a weakness for croissants. Blake takes a logical approach to the greater good and appreciates the fine things in life. Along with the charming writing and beautiful art, this game is easy to recommend to anybody looking for a fun and heartwarming visual novel.
This VN was very similar in its style and everything to the other VNs that were made by Double Peach Productions. That also means that the art, music and adult content arent the main feature of the game. The one thing that carries their VNs for me is their story and writing. The romance they portrait is always very realistic and the way they incorporate real life places and knowledge always is something I can really appreciate. They have their own unique style which makes their games a nice little experience everytime I play them. Just like with all their other games please dont by this for the adult content, because that is pretty much non existent even with the patch. Overall, if you are looking for a realistic and good, short lesbian romance story and dont really care too much for a high quality technical experience, but care for a good reading experience only then a clear recommendation from me. Colorado Cocoa Club is certainly not a visual novel about hot chocolate lesbian connoisseurs club in Colorado. The story follows a junior architect, Mikaela, who unexpectedly will found her destiny through a fun business trip for an architectural project that she assists. Mikaela will face three options that will determine her destiny: Build an emotional relationship with Rebecca, her boss's daughter; Strengthen the chemistry with Blake, her client; Immerse herself even more in the architect life that she loves. I really enjoyed this entertaining short visual novel. The plot and characters are so natural. The girls are also beautiful! Oh, and one last thing, if you play this game, you can choose any food and beverage that you want in the options by yourself! (◍•ᴗ•◍)✧*。
If you really really really need some yuri, this is great. However, the writing is pretty dry and it's lacking in CGs. most of the dialogue is just small talk or discussion of non-yuri related subjects which can have it's own charm but gets very old and boring very quickly. Beyond that, the skipping function is somewhat broken and skips unread text.
Author's note: To appeal to the attention span-deprived generation, a new section has been added at the beginning of this author's reviews.
TL;DR
6/10: Only two scenes that didn't feature stock footage?! At least the sex was better than in Kindred Spirits on the Roof!
Overview
A visual novel for those who like it real... Except for the fact that RL lesbians never really have sex despite what people have seen in porno movies and trashy visual novels. Colorado Cocoa Club is focused on a young woman named Mikaela, a Florida native working in Boston as an architect. Mikaela and her boss Amelia take a working vacation to Aspen, Colorado to meet with Blake, the heir apparent of a Colorado-based tycoon (and cowboy at heart) who turns out to be a woman. Also on the working vacation is Rebecca, a redhead Scotswoman who works for a matchmaking service for blue chip clients and is the daughter of another tycoon named "Sir Richard." (Dang if that name doesn't sound familiar!) Depending on the choices the player makes, Mikaela either ends up in a relationship with Rebecca or Blake, or doesn't end up with anyone at all.
Graphics and Sound
The stock footage is on par with the stock footage of higher-budget visual novels, and the four women featured in the game average out to 7.20 on the Kawaii-O-meter. (Far from the Kindred Spirits on the Roof "KAIWAII YO" but far ahead of the women featured in cheap anime tiddy puzzle games.) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2472788564 The sounds are mostly limited to the ambient and lounge music that's playing in the background that perfectly set the mood for a high class winter resort.
Corner-Cutting Index: 9.25
Colorado Cocoa Club is a classic example of a "9" on this index: The only non-stock footage is at the end of the game, and even then, there's only two unique scenes, which adds a "0.25." The index would have been closer to a "10" if only the character's weren't so quite well-drawn and the two scenes themselves so hot.
Positives
Visual novels written with any sort of intelligence are a rare find, and Colorado Cocoa Club has all sorts of interesting dialogue in which the player can learn about things like Gardener and Flower Relationships and English Premier League Soccer. Rebecca's insights into the mindset of the hilarious differences in the psyche of super wealthy people (compared to the poor) also make for a fascinating read. If the reader wants a visual novel that has sex and doesn't come across as trashy, Colorado Cocoa Club is an economical alternative to Kindred Spirits on the Roof.
Negatives
Players who are here for the sex will be disappointed to find a lack of nudity (except at the very end) and while the sex scenes are decently written, they come across as too short. There's other visual novels in the price range of Colorado Cocoa Club that feature hotter sex and far less stock animation. The writer of the story gave themselves away as being American and not understanding British slang when Rebecca mentioned her "bollocks" when it was obvious she meant "bum." https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2471961444 Admittedly, ol' Il Pallino did amuse himself with the possibility of Rebecca being transgendered, except that no real life transwoman is likely to talk about their bollocks in a public part of an Aspen ski resort.
Conclusion
Depending on which ending the player is going for.... Never mind the bollocks: Here's Rebecca's (shaved) firecrotch! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1919143476
The honest word of Il Pallino.... This was an okay visual novel for the price but it's hard to recommend. The art is pretty good - the backgrounds have a nice painting quality to them and the character sprites are cute. I liked that the main character in this is already out so there isn't a big "am I a lesbian" drama that you see in a lot of these yuri VNs. I also liked that the main character's architecture job actually tied into the plot. Unfortunately I didn't really think the characters stood out from each other very well personality-wise and the story was kind of bland and forgettable. I wish the game had been a little longer instead of glossing over basically the entire relationship until the characters are getting married in the epilogue.
Protagonist is dressed like an effin polar explorer (a polar explorer with a stupid hat that makes her look like 13 yrs) all the time; at work, in business meetings, in hotel bedrooms, everywhere. Is this a bug? I cant play this. Too bad because I enjoyed other games from this dev.
I tried to keep playing but... I couldn't. It's just not my taste.
