This is a fun Rougelite card battle which is refreshing to me as there are 3 characters instead of the normal 1. The characters are fun but some are MORE useful than others. The graphics are good and the battles are fun. I did have 30 plus hrs of fun but it can be frustrating when you keep dying due to RNG. Like most card games, most of the time is based on LUCK on what events you get and what cards you get to choose. It gets repetitive after a while so my suggestion is to stop for a while if you keep losing. I didnt get to complete the game at the time of this review as i keep losing when i am trying to use MAX... hiaz. I admit i sucked at card games. One more thing about this game is that there is no progress in terms of power when you win. The only progress is Storyline after a win and you get nothing when you lose. I just hope that there is progression if you win or lose so as to make the next run easier for storyline purpose. For those that does not like progression and like fresh for each run can play the dalies. I really hope there is such option haaa. Rate 7.5 / 10
I absolutely LOVE FTL: Faster than Light. It's one of my favorite games. Cobalt Core takes everything I loved about FTL and reimagines it into a satisfying deckbuilder. Consequently, I now absolutely LOVE Cobalt Core. The music is so addicting and it's earned a spot on all of my playlists. The characters are a treat and the dialogue is very witty without being too "MCU"-y if you will. The gameplay is incredibly satisfying, too. It's punchy but you also have to think strategically. The only thing I wish is that it was longer, but there's an incredibly amount of replay value and I'm not even done with the game yet. Even if you don't think you like deck builders, you should really check out this game. It's well worth the 20 bucks.

Disappointing, looks really good in the first couple of runs, but even Slay the Spire felt more fun and satisfying to play for way more hours, even if I hated the stupid rng. First of all, no undo button is diabolical, but even after installing the mod I didn't feel like I had much agency in a lot of runs. The little lore pieces you can go for are nice, but I'm never dedicating 50 minutes on a run, even just the easiest difficulty with the easiest setups, just to read a couple of dialogue lines at the end, and repeating that action for 15 times or whatever, to view all of the characters' memories. There are no new unlocks after you've played for some time, so then you're either replaying the game to unlock the memories or try your luck on the hardest difficulty. It's once again too rng-dependant for me, not enough build variety, little to no meaningful progression. Sorry for existing, but this one gets a thumbs down from me, my roguelike taste buds were not satisfied. The character designs/dialogue though - really cute, if you actually don't mind sitting through long runs to get some story scenes - definitely go for it.
Fantastic game, if you like FTL like games you gonna love this one
Good game, good story, pretty fun mechanics too! well worth the askng price imho Also-works great on the deck, lets you pick up and drop it super easily!
Cool short game
seriously, peak
Truly excellent deckbuilder, with fantastic controls for streaming to your phone and using the touch-screen controller.
AN excellent game. I don't usually play card based games but this one really was a lot of fun. Besides very cute characters and dialog, it's Slay the Spire meets a dash of FTL. Lots of replayability too. I look forward to more runs as this review comes after finishing my first one! More story and progress to look forward to after each run!
One of my favorite games of all time. Great story, characters, gameplay, unlocks, etc.. Would love to see a true sequel with all the same characters and a whole new batch of them! And more difficulties + cosmetic unlocks for longer-term hook.
