I’ve been waiting a long time for a game like this. It’s straight deckbuilding CRACK, but unfortunately, the devs abandoned it, leaving a ton of bugs that diminish the experience, one being a bug that prevents getting a certain achievement. Been waiting for it to get fixed so I could leave a 100% review, but that doesn’t look like that’s going to happen. Despite that huge criticism, there are a lot of positives about my experience that I would like to share. You see, I’m a fan of trading card games like Magic: The Gathering, YuGiOh, and Elestrals. I love building decks filled with creatures focused on a particular strategy and fighting opponents with them, but these games tend to be too competitive and devolve into just competing with a handful of archetypes that are not that fun to play, but you have to in order to win. Cross Blitz takes the foundation of these card games, but packaged into a single-player experience that encourages you to play with a huge variety of deck archetypes. I LOVE that. I get to fully immerse myself with all of mechanics of the game, rather than just the ones that guarantee a fast and easy win. The only other game I’ve played that came even close to scratching this very specific kind of itch was Inscryption, which has very similar card gameplay, but I finished that game wanting more than what was offered. I wanted more cards, more mechanics, more deck archetypes. Cross Blitz is the game that finally gives me the “more” that I wanted from Inscryption. There is a lot of content. It has 5 story-mode campaigns, one for each faction, that drip feed you cards for various deck archetypes within each faction you can experiment with while enjoying a nice story with beautiful pixel-art visuals. There is also a roguelite mode that is not just tacked on like in many other games. It’s easily the other half of the game. You can play as 20 mercenaries, each with their own playstyle, with an incredible amount of meta progression. Super addictive card game that will always hold a special place in my heart. Because of how good the game is, I’ll give it a thumbs up even though it’s ultimately an abandoned game. I hope you get the same enjoyment that I did from this game.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

been playing this again recently and noticed it hasn't been updated for 8 months and i still regularly run into bugs. its fun, but i wish it was fully finished
After 70+ hours...... i can say this game is all about Luck. Dont get me wrong in earlier versions it was possible to give the cards in your deck trinkets to make later runs easier but guess what? Removed! Its just sad to see that you cant even have fun in a single player game you either start broken and steam roll everything in the Tusktales or you get molested by the second enemy nothing in between. Now it gets booring very fast due to the fact that you pic one Charakter and stick with it others are just weaker. And i mean that like: one Charakter has a deck of minions who have low mana cost but deal damage or can call other minions into your hand wich gives you the edge in every fight you into. Other Charakter start slow but ramp up with time but guess what by the time you can start playing the game like the devs want you too you already lost the game. Its sad to see that you cant choose more cards at the end of a fight, or that you can only buy one minion from wich you might need more, or that when you beat the dragon who summons chests wich you can destroy during the fight only lets you choose one trinket, this makes the game harder yes BUT it just ♥♥♥♥♥ you over when ever you give the game the chance. there is next to no skill involved to win or loose either you start good or you restart the run. I've played the demo and then played the early stages of the game where you had so much more options to buff your minions perk them up lean into more single minion type playstyle. in short you had more fredom but the game was by no means easy. one wrong minion dropped or you summond the minion into the wrong row or column and your run was also over but that was more my own ♥♥♥♥ up instead of the game loubing me up and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me down. Its a single player game guys you dont need to look for balance just hand over the options to perk up the minions to have more deck options so i dont have to gamble on getting the one minion i need. You can make a good single player game........so why ♥♥♥♥ us over every patch you do. BTW letting the ulty clog up one spot in the deck in fables was also a brave choice and not giving me the ability to perk my minions there too. All to it though the earlier versions where way better if you want to have fun. If i want to suffer i play deadcells or Silksong.
* It is unacceptable for this game not to have controller support. The interface is *dead simple*. Though the devs promised controller support for 1.0, it never materialized, and the game has been left largely untouched since release. * There are two modes to this game: story mode, and roguelike mode. * The roguelike mode is not worth playing. Poor balance, poor maps, poor design. * The story mode is quite fun! * But, it is pretty much just single player Hearthstone Battlegrounds. Like, many of the cards are just straight-up copies of old school Battlegrounds cards * There are five classes, and each class has theoretically 4 but more like 2-3 archetypes * The archetypes are mostly fun, but card balance is poor. * There is *so much* story and it is so not worth reading and, while you can skip each sequence, you can't auto-skip all of it, meaning you'll be moving your mouse up to that "skip" button a lot (there is no hotkey for skip. There is not hotkey for anything. Literally this is a mouse-only clicking game.) * The overworld map design has a lot of annoying backtracking * The default (and only) font is this old-school pixel all caps thing that is super hard to read Overall, 2.5/5. A decent game here, but poorly supported by devs, no QOL, misplaced priorities during development.
Good news! First patch in nine months! Bad news! The patch broke this game in half!! Now is NOT the time to start playing.
I have played this game for about 70 hours and honestly I'm disappointed. Back when the final fable came out I boot it up and play through all the first chapter. But when I select the second chapter all of my progress like cards and relics and the resources that I made in the first chapter were wiped from the save. I thought it was just a minor bug that was going to be patch out so I left the game there... It's been a few months now and even after making a post documenting the bug it was still not fixed for me. It's incredibly frustrating and I do not wish for anyone else to experience this.

abandoned game, no updates since about a year ago even when bugs are extremely common to encounter and theres much QoL that even a simple playtest would have fixed, but it is clear that they have not beaten their game in its entirety otherwise they would have probably put in a bit of work. It released and when they accomplished the "promise" of exiting early access entirely dumped the game and it now gets zero updates. Don't recommend buying.
This a deeply overlooked gem among the many roguelikes of Steam. The Fables campaigns are plenty longer than most other games I've played, and the endless roguelike mode is just extra playtime on top of that with gameplay I actually enjoy. The stories and characters and banter are incredibly charming, and the retro pixel artwork is gorgeous. The soundtrack is also excellent! Atmospherically a top notch game. My only complaint is that the game feels like it was shoved out the door at around 90% done. There are a handful of UI bugs I've noticed while playing certain archetypes or combos that probably should be addressed. The Fables storyline ends with some unresolved threads, though the stories of the main cast feel mostly complete (I assume more Fables were planned but never finished, given two additional areas of the endless mode map remain unexplored). Sadly it looks like the primary dev has moved on to a new studio after the 1.0 release with no new updates since end of 2025, and his discord channels mostly shut down. But this game looks like it probably didn't bring in enough money or attention - both crippling for indie developers trying to stay afloat. Hopefully the game will get some final bit of love once they get back on their feet, but the game is still worth your time and enjoyment for the adventures it already has!
『Cross Blitz』……
