yay
A wonderfully surreal experience that I was very pleasantly surprised by. It's got a unique quality to it that separates itself from the kind of games that inspire it, which I think is very difficult to do! The maps, sketches and notes in game have a really cool style that fits the more abstract and dreamlike atmosphere the game is going for, PLUS THE MUSIC IS GENUINELY SO GOOD. Better experienced knowing as little as possible.
very underrated game!

hidden gem
If there is one spiritual sucessor to Yume Nikki, then this is it. Theyre alike not through similar artstyles, themes or gameplay loop, they are rather different in all those aspects and even the themes that do overlap are tackled very differently between these two games. What Closer To Home manages to capture is... the alienating sense of being lost in a hell that wasnt built for you, something i havent felt since playing Yume Nikki for the first time, simply great.

Good stuff
Really interesting little quirky psychological horror game with some great music and super interesting visuals. The game really keeps you wondering what exactly is happening throughout and ends rather shockingly. If you have a few hours and want to explore a wholly original quirky indie title, it's not a bad game to pick up and give a shot!
I wish everyone knew about this game because I genuinely love it so much.
Can definitely say I've never played anything quite like this.
