"In my dreams I'm dying all the time" (Moby - Porcelain) "Closer To Home" is an obscure, rough and unique piece of media; a pixelated top-down dream adventure with horror elements that can be "completed" in around 2 hours (but there are surely other endings and a lot of other stuff to uncover). It is quite difficult to describe, for the interesting bit is to figure out what is even going on, but thematically it can be described as a fever dream betweeen empathy and amok, somnambulism and teenage angst. Things worth mentioning: - The skate-mechanic feels good - You can get gently killed by thighs - Why is the portrait of the MC so friggin derpy? The mix is quite interesing and for the ones that like it obscure and don't mind rough and a little buggy it gets a curious recommendation!

Very interesting short game that is well worth your time.
Makes me happy
I'm not the biggest rpg fan; however, I love surreal games. the second I knew the game I was playing was gonna be great was when i walked into my neighbor's house. at first i was just walking around not paying attention to the dialogue on screen, but when I reached the mirror and switched bodies I was truly shocked. Amazing mechanics, fun puzzles, and an overall great game. Even if the game is short, my first playthrough only taking about an hour and a half, it feels like the perfect length for what it's trying to do.
This is actually extremely cool! I am oh so pleasantly surprised :)
Very very cool and underrated imo! A surreal horror game with lots of surreal things to discover. Expect to get a little lost but it's part of the experience, it's part of the exploration of the world and everything there is to it.
There is nothing like it
