Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 27 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

SE CAE EN PLENA PARTIDA
Not very enjoyable. First about the graphics: Even though I think the top-down maps look nice sometimes the units, UI, campaign map and other things look cartoonish. Sounds: Germans sound like some cartoon villains/the whiny, cowardly types from American war movies that howl their mother while getting shot to pieces. Weapon sounds are very generic and many guns sound the same. The battlegroups are fixed so you can't select your units like in the other Close Combat games. Boring unit roster, just the generic Panther tanks. About the gameplay. I laughed and stopped playing when my team of "elite" assault infantry were surprised by dug out enemies right in front of them, even though they were supposed to be moving quietly with their weapons ready at that direction. I would understand they took some casualties, but they became stupid and just kept crawling to the direction of the machine gun without firing back and in the end the whole team was killed one by one by the enemy machine gun without my elite troopers firing even one shot back or throwing a hand grenade there. Overall it seems the AI in this game is pretty bad, they just dig in and ambush my troops making playing just frustrating because it is guaranteed death for the team that gets ambushed because of the previously mentioned behaviour. Get this game only if it costs like 5€/$ otherwise don't bother.

Close Combat 4: The Battle of the Bulge remains one of the defining examples of tactical warfare games, demonstrating that realism and thoughtful design can outlast technological advancements. Originally developed by Atomic Games and now made available to modern audiences through SNEG, the title transports players to the brutal winter of 1944 during Germany's final large-scale offensive on the Western Front. Rather than presenting war as a spectacle, the game emphasizes command responsibility, forcing players to think like field officers tasked with preserving lives while accomplishing objectives. Even years after its original release, its approach to military simulation continues to stand apart from many contemporary strategy titles. At its core, the game revolves around commanding squads of infantry, armored vehicles, and support units across a connected campaign map that evolves according to player actions. Every battle carries over into the next, creating a persistent sense of progression and consequence. Casualties are not simply replaced between missions, and veteran units become increasingly valuable as they survive multiple engagements. This persistence adds a level of tension rarely seen in strategy games, as players must constantly weigh the benefits of pressing an attack against the risks of losing experienced soldiers. The campaign's structure effectively captures the uncertainty and attrition that defined the actual Battle of the Bulge. One of the game's most impressive mechanics is its treatment of morale and battlefield psychology. Soldiers react to events around them in believable ways, with units becoming suppressed under heavy fire, retreating when overwhelmed, or rallying when led effectively. Positioning, line of sight, and leadership all influence how troops perform under pressure. A well-placed machine gun can halt an entire advance, while a tank operating without infantry support can quickly become vulnerable. These systems work together to create engagements that feel less like puzzles and more like living battles where no plan survives first contact with the enemy. The Battle of the Bulge setting is exceptionally well suited to the Close Combat formula. Snow-covered forests, isolated villages, and narrow roads create a battlefield where terrain knowledge becomes as important as troop composition. The game's maps encourage tactical thinking, rewarding players who make intelligent use of cover, ambushes, and defensive positions. Whether commanding American forces attempting to hold the line or German troops pushing forward in a desperate offensive, the historical backdrop provides a constant sense of urgency. The title succeeds in conveying the scale and intensity of one of World War II's most significant campaigns without sacrificing its focus on small-unit tactics. Of course, the game's age is impossible to ignore. Its visuals are modest, featuring dated sprites and interfaces that may feel cumbersome to players accustomed to modern conveniences. The learning curve is steep, particularly for those unfamiliar with traditional wargames, and the game offers little hand-holding. However, these aspects are largely a reflection of the era in which it was created. Players willing to invest time in understanding its mechanics will find a surprisingly deep and rewarding experience hidden beneath its old-school presentation. What makes Close Combat 4 endure is its commitment to authenticity. It does not simplify warfare into resource gathering or rapid unit production. Instead, it asks players to manage fear, logistics, positioning, and momentum across an interconnected campaign. Every victory feels earned, and every defeat becomes a lesson in tactical planning. The Steam release preserves this identity, allowing a new generation to experience a title that helped shape the military strategy genre. Close Combat 4: The Battle of the Bulge is not designed for everyone. Those seeking flashy graphics or streamlined gameplay may struggle to appreciate its deliberate pace. Yet for history enthusiasts and fans of tactical strategy, it remains an absorbing and highly influential experience. Its combination of persistent campaigns, realistic morale systems, and historically inspired battles ensures that it continues to deserve recognition among the great classics of PC gaming. Rating: 5/10
Općenito obožavam Close Combat serijal, ali ova igra je smeće. Odudara od ostatka serijala kao da su je totalno drugi ljudi radili. Jednom riječju smeće-
Still my grand favorite of the series. Overal a great tactical strategy game!
