Clocking In to Fight a Lich in Another Realm

I am terrible at the game, but still having loads of fun playing. Combat and movement feel really good, music is understated, and I'm really enjoying making progress on the levels. Excited to see where this is headed. :)

It's deceptively good. What looks like just a solid boomer shooter actually has a lot more depth due to the leader boards integration and solid level design. It's the type of game where you play through a level - die a few times - finally win - then realize, "I could have shaved 45 seconds off that run" and you replay the level 20 more times. If you've played Neon White, this game is like a low budget Neon White with a fantasy theme. This game has tight controls, tough but fair combat, and decent mechanical depth that likely conceals a lot of yet unknown time saves and skips; if you're into speed running games you won't regret buying this game. If you hate that, or just hate boomer shooters in general - probably skip it! I enjoy the cute robot character, and I almost wish they were fully voice acted, even though they don't say much in the grand scheme of things, it would add a lot of charm to the game :) The number one thing I look for in a game like this is - is it frustrating to fail? And can I fail and reset quickly? This game does that well, when you fail you're able to quickly hop right back into the action for another try. Overall, at this price point, it's hard to do anything but recommend this game. I think this is a more than fair price for the amount of content you're getting.

If you enjoy speedrunning games, you'll definitely like this one. I'm amazed it was developed by such a small team, it's a high-quality indie title.

My first hour in this game was an absolute delight, can't wait to clock in again. :D
