Reviews
Somewhat repetitive gameplay but the combat is fun and rewards skillful timing. Great story, interesting mix of opponents and bosses, and fun side quests. Plays well on steam deck (with degraded graphics) and steam machine as well as PC.
GOTY
What an amazing journey. Such a plot twist. so deep. The plot is really successful in that, there is never a good side or bad side.
Expedition is a great combat game with amazing characters and some of the best music present in video games. So far I've completed Act 2. What i liked - Great characters. They are absolutely not 1 dimensional. - Even greater combat. This is what sticks out to me the most. This might be the third time i've played a Turn based combat game and I ABSOLUTELY loved it. - What made the combat fun was how much style points was dedicated to the VFX and the animation for each move. - The "Open World" style was also very new to me so it felt very fresh. - Sound/Music design is just out of the world. Chef's kiss. Mixed -Story: I know there's a lot of heart in this game but for me it was hard to follow through the gaps and the unknowns. What i disliked -Sometimes, the level design felt very unintuitive. -Animation kinda fell off in the later parts of the game compared to how good it was in the first half which is fine for their first game. -This game also suffers where the story and the gameplay are disjointed. For people going on a fight, nobody "really" talks about "the fight". About swords, the unique flavor each character plays in the combat or how the "father-figure" never mentors for the fights. I wish there was a system where there was an internal tool that would record how you are playing and a character points it out to you and asks you to change it for the better or even have a discussion about it. But that said, Expedition 33 is an amazing unique game. In a world of bland AAA games, this game has a unique flavour that makes you to want to try it again and again.
Amazing game
好玩!画风是我喜欢的,反击的打击感也做的一流,值得推荐
Best Game Of The Year For Sure
mid
Mükemmel mizikler eşliğinde hüzünlü bir yolculuk.
Gameplay was really fun, the "premise" of the story was interesting at the start but the ultimate destination that the narrative took was a pretentious mess and made me regret even playing the game and all the 50+ hours I put into it. Dialogue was also extremely cringe and try-hard, the narrative is riddled with holes and a lot of enemies and environments looked entirely AI generated or at the very least, AI-inspired.
